Bea's POV

Jhoana is with Dad right now. I'm with Mom because she said she needed help and had something to send to Tita Lovel. I followed her into their room.

Kayang-kaya mo na bumuhay ng sarili mong pamilya, and even if hindi mo kaya, we're here—kami ng Dad mo.

"Yeah, I know, Mom. That's why we're telling you that Jho is pregnant. I'll marry her as soon as possible, but leave it to me. I want to propose to her, even though she's already pregnant. She deserves that," I said.

"Awww, Mom," she hit me playfully.

"Ikaw, puro kalokohan.

"Yes, Mom. I'll just talk to Tita Lovel. I'm sure she will approve," I said.

"Ayan, ibigay mo kay Mareng Lovel 'yang pasalubong ko," she said, handing me a Dior bag, probably bought during their Japan trip.

"Halika na, bumaba na tayo," she added, and we went downstairs. I saw Dad and Jho talking.

"Ayan na pala sila, Bunso," I heard Dad say to Jho.

"Mukhang seryoso niyo ni Dad, ah," I said as we approached.

"Wala akong sinasabi, haha. Sige na, baka gabihin kayo lalo. Jhoana, 'yung pinag-usapan natin ha? Basta sabihin mo lang, ako bahala," Dad said.

"Yes, Tito," Jhoana replied, smiling widely. Dad was smiling too.

I said as they laughed and escorted us out.

Jhoana's POV

"Ano 'yung pinapabigay ni Tita?" I asked as we drove toward Batangas. Luckily, Tita agreed to let us go, though Beatriz got scolded earlier.

I actually thought about getting married before having a baby, but it's too late now. I wanted it too. I'm just not sure if Beatriz has plans.

"Designer bag. You can look at it. If you like something like that, I'll buy it for you," she said while driving.

"Heh, I'm not really into bags," I replied.

"Hahaha, yeah, but you might like it."

"Whatever. We're almost there. Are you ready?" I asked. She didn't speak for a moment and sighed.

"I'm a little nervous, but yeah, I'm ready. If Tito were still here, I know he would be the happiest," I raised my eyebrow at her.

"Haha, remember the day he talked to me?" She chuckled and then seemed a bit sad.

"Yeah, what about it?"

"He entrusted you to me," she said, and I fell silent, just looking at her.

"He told me he was sick. It was 9 years ago, the day you introduced me to him. I thought he was going to tell me to stay away from you, but instead, he told me about his illness. He requested that I give him a grandchild. I thought Tito was okay. Before we broke up, he was playing golf with Dad, going to the farm. I used to ask him about you," she said.

"Don't cry, baby. It might not be good for our little pumpkin," she said, noticing I was tearing up.

"I've only now fulfilled his wish, and I'm really, really happy," I said, wiping my tears.

"Wag muna tayo sa bahay. Let's go to Papa's place first," I said, still crying.

"Are you sure? We're almost at your house."

"Yeah, I'm sure. You said it was his wish. So you should tell him that wish granted," I smiled at her, noticing how concerned she looked. She nodded and held my hand.

At the Cemetery

Beatriz opened the door for me.

"Do I need to bring your food?" she asked, helping me out of the car. We went through a drive-thru earlier because I got hungry, and Baby did too. Beatriz didn't want to because it was fast food again, but I managed to convince her.

"No, we won't stay long," I replied.

"Okay, tara?" She wrapped her arm around me as we walked toward Papa's grave, carrying the flowers and candle in her other hand.

"Bango ng baby ko, ah," she said.

"Tsusera," I responded, and she chuckled.

She placed the flowers and lit the candle. I was about to sit, but she stopped me.

"Wait, dito ka umupo," she said, sitting down and tapping her lap. I gave her a look.

Oops, may sasabihin pala sayo si Beatriz," I said, looking at Bea, who was already looking at me.

"Hi, Tito. It's been a while. Hahaha—"

"Papa! Pati ba naman po 'yon? Nakakahiya," I said, remembering how I used to cry my eyes out when Papa didn't buy me ice cream. I wouldn't get out of the car and would cry until he caved in.

"Why? Bakit ka nahihiya? Hahaha. That's why I always have ice cream stocked at the condo. I gave her a look.

"Haha, I'm just kidding. Anyway, Tito, I have good news for you," she said, smiling at me.

"Your wish is granted after 9 years. Jhoana is pregnant."
