"My baby!" Sophie squealed as she opened the door.

"Hi, mom." Ann smiled, opening her arms for a hug.

But to her surprise, she went right past her and straight into Joe's arms.

"Oh, I feel like I haven't seen you in ages!" She said as she hugged him even tighter.

"Seriously?" Ann frowned and rolled her eyes, going inside the house.

"How are you feeling?" Joe asked.

"Better, thank you, love. Come inside, come. You must be so tired from the trip. I made you your favorite soup and also my famous lasagna."

"Yup, don't mind me..." Ann plastered a fake smile.

"Hi, honey." Sophie laughed and hugged Ann. "I'm sorry, you know I have a soft spot for him."

She crouched down to greet her granddaughters as Joe did a fake hair flip to Ann. She gave him the middle finger and laughed at him.

"Okay, who's hungry?" Sophie clapped her hands. "Go make the table."

"Ann!" Priyanka squealed as she walked inside the house, jumping into a hug with her.

"Hi!" Ann laughed.

"You okay?" She whispered to her ear. Ann pulled back and nodded, giving her a reassuring smile.

"Nick, hey bro." She smiled as Nick greeted her with a hug as well. "If I can still call you that." She scoffed.

"Always." He whispered with a smile.

"I'll set the table with Joe." Priyanka said, giving Ann a look, that meant she was probably going to talk with him about all of that.

"Can you watch the girls? I'll help mom in the kitchen." Ann said to Nick.

"Of course." He smiled and took them to their toy box.

She walked into the kitchen where Sophie cheerfully stirred the soup. Ann smiled at the view as she leaned against the doorframe.

"Well, don't just stand there, come and help me." Sophie frowned.

Ann laughed and washed her hands, before checking on the lasagna in the stove.

"You look good." Ann said, leaning against the kitchen counter next to her.

"I'm just happy to have all the family together." She said with a huge smile.

Ann's on the other hand faded away. They still haven't told her about the divorce. Ann tried to hold it off as much as possible, but it was inevitable now that they're all together.

"Mom, I..." She sighed.

"Dinner's ready!" She screamed, putting away the wooden spoon. "Honey, could you take this to the table?"

"Yeah." She smiled weakly.

"What did you wanted to say? I disturbed you, sorry." She wiped her hands and focused on her.

Ann hesitated for a while, before putting on a soft smile. "That it smells amazing."

Sophie gave her a kiss on the cheek and took the lasagna out of the oven. Ann took the soup and walked to the table, setting it in the middle of it.
