The night was chilly but you tried your best to shield yourself with the coat clinging on your body. You looked around with panic as you felt it again. The uneasy feeling you were feeling for a week now. The feeling of being followed, being watched and you knew very well that it wasn't your hallucination.

You lived a simple life with no lover, no friend, no family. You grew up in an orphanage who kicked you out as soon as you turned 18 but that didn't stop you from pursuing your dream.

You were a graphic designer at a small firm and also as a freelancer and you were happy with what you were doing. You had a pretty luxurious apartment near the Han river.

Your neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful and most of your evening went by watching T.V with a warm cup of coffee or reading a new article on your niche. You loved where you were but something changed from a week ago.

You could feel the uneasy feeling of being watched. It all started just as a thought. You would see a dark shadow from the corner of your eyes, a figure you'd thought you saw standing at the end of the street but was gone by the time you looked again.

It all happened whenever you visited your favourite coffee shop.

You had dismissed it at first, trying your best to ignore the feeling but it went worse. Even though you stopped going to the cafe, the feeling was still there. To the point you were scared to go out of your house at night.

You increased your pace, hoping to just get into your bed and sleep, totally forgetting about this. You regretted going out tonight. Just because you didn't want to make dinner, you thought to eat outside.

And to be honest, you were feeling suffocated, it's been three days you were working from home on the excuse of being sick. You felt like you would actually feel sick if you didn't go out today and the consequence was here.

As you rounded the corner, your heart started beating fast. The sound of your boots against the rough surface made you more anxious. The street light flickered above your head, making you flinch hard.

You knew you were not alone. You could feel the pair of eyes on you. Without thinking twice, your walking turns into a run. Your apartment was just a block away. "Please please." You whispered, running fast.

But your breath hitched when you heard footsteps keeping the pace with you. Your eyes blurred with tears, tears of fear. "Just a bit more." You encourage yourself, trying not to look back. You knew he would catch you if you did.

Your mind screamed in panic as you reached your apartment. You fumbled with the keys as your heart was beating too fast. Your fingers trembled as you tried to unlock the door. Your entire body was shaking with fear.

A sob of relief escaped your lips as the door swung open and you rushed inside before slamming it shut behind you. "I did it." you pressed your back against the door as your chest heaving with relief.
