Chapter 88

"To our first Daesang!" Namjoon shouted, holding up his cup full of alcohol before taking a long swig. We had decided to keep tonight's celebration small and intimate—just the eight of us in our dorm together.

We had music playing in the background, accompanied by a spread of snacks and appetizers laid out across the table. Some of the members were already tipsy, and Hobi was so gone he had gone nonverbal.

 "You're not drinking, why not?" Taehyung asked, plopping down on the space next to me.  

"Because I'm not in a drinking mood." 

"Lair. The entire reason we're even drinking is that Yoongi said you wanted to. I doubt Yoongi would lie." I let out a small huff as a smile spread across my face. I slowly brought the shot up to my lips and swallowed it in one go. 

"Happy? I just didn't want to overdo it. When it comes to soju, I can drink it like it's juice, and before I know it, I don't even know my own surname."

Taehyung let out a laugh as he refilled his own cup and drank it. "Want a refill?" Jimin asked, waving a soju bottle around as he sat on the other side of me. "No thanks, I don't want to end up like them..." I mumbled while looking at Namjoon and Yoongi, who were now messing with Hobi and bringing up his audition tape. 

"Yeah, I might just go to bed before they bring up my audition..." Jimin mumbled as he hurriedly stood up and walked towards our room. "You know what me too. They're already teasing him with the I'm sorry for my fault." Taehyung said, looking at the group of three boys in the corner. 

I looked at the time and decided that it was wise for me to also go to bed since we had an early meeting the next morning. I stood up and started walking towards my room, my hand was on the nob about to turn in before I heard a noise from down the hall. 

"Pst! (Y/N)!" I stepped back to see who was calling me, only to see Jungkook peeking his head out of his room. "Sleep over?" I quickly looked down the other side of the hall to see the older members still teasing each other. I nodded as I sped walked into Jungkook's room, cherishing the alone time together. 

I wasted no time in getting comfortable as I sat on his bed. "Can you believe it! Our first major award," I nodded slowly, holding his hand in mine, staying silent. 

"I'm sorry we haven't spent much time together. Maybe tomorrow, after the meeting, we can go on a date?" He suggested, giving my hand a slight squeeze. 

"We have dance practice and then vocal training, you goof," I mumbled, knowing that our schedules didn't have time to let us go on dates. "Then, after practice. I'll take you on a date. I can't promise it's going to be some fancy dinner since practice always runs late, but a late-night walk can be romantic." I nodded as I slowly wrapped my arms around his neck, bringing him in for a hug. 

"Thank you, Koo," 

"You haven't called me that in a long time. What's wrong?" 

"Nothings wrong. I'm just emotional. I think that's kinda normal given all of the circumstances."

Jungkook slightly scrunched his eyebrows while cocking one up. "What are the circumstances?" I couldn't help but roll my eyes at his words, knowing that he was trying to joke around with me. "Oh, I don't know, maybe how close we were to disbanding, and who knows, maybe that's what the meeting is about tomorrow." Jungkook shrugged, acting all unbothered as if he didn't believe there had ever been a chance of us disbanding. 

"If we do disband, come stay with me for a while. It'll be fun. We can finally be a normal couple." I felt a small smile grow on my face at the thought of being able to stay at his house for a while. "Jin would never let that happen. He didn't even let us share a room in this dorm!" Jungkook let out a hearty laugh, throwing his head back while clutching his stomach. "That was before we were dating, too." I nodded slowly, moving closer to him, seeking any sort of comfort.
