(The MBC stage performance for the story is gonna start at 2:40 till the end of the video)
"You have to touch me if we're gonna be dancing together, Hobi," I huffed out, hunching over, feeling the hours of dance practice starting to catch up to me. "I just feel bad, I mean, I have to touch your hip, and hold you by the inside of your legs," he replied, earning snickers from the other members. "Then just let someone else be the male lead if you won't do it," Jimin whispered under his breath, barely loud enough for the rest of us to hear. "No! I got picked for the lead, and I'm gonna do it," Hobi replied, sounding like a little kid. "Let someone else try. You're not being replaced, I just need to get some practice with someone who's gonna dance full out even if he does touch my butt a bit." Hobi furrowed his eyebrows at me before walking away and pushing Jimin towards the center of the room where I was standing. "Since you want to do it with her so bad," I couldn't help but let out a slight snicker at his attitude. "Stop acting like a little kid." Before either of us could keep the snarky remarks going, the music started playing right at the beginning of the partner sequence, which qued both of us to start dancing.
"I think you two were good together," Namjoon said as the music came to an end. "Can you do it now, Hobi, please?" I asked, giving him my best pleading eyes while clasping my hands together. "Fine, last time I'm trying before I give up and give the part to Jimin instead." I felt my eyebrows furrow as I grabbed Hobi's wrist and dragged him towards the center of the room. "No way is Jimin going to get this special part over you," I muttered as the music started playing. "Hoseok, you are the best dancer I have ever met in my entire life. You can do any style, and your isolations are beyond. If anyone can do this dance, it's you." By the time I finished my spiel, the dance was over. He did it. "You did it! Jung Hoseok, the man you are!" I yelled before I lunged at him and wrapped my arms around him, bringing him into a tight hug. "I'm sorry, I guess I was just in my head about trying not to make you uncomfortable," he whispered into the crook of my neck. "Oh, please, it takes a lot to make me uncomfortable. Plus, I understand a slight hand slip, we're dancing, we have to be flowy and look good. Either way, you could never make me uncomfortable." He gently pulled away from the hug and held me by my shoulders while looking down at me. "And that's why I would never ask for a better member, or little sister." A wave of emotions felt like they had just washed over me. What was supposed to be a compliment and was meant to make me smile made me feel like crying. "Why are you making that face? Why is she making that face?" Hobi asked frantically while looking around at the boys before looking back at me with nothing but pure concern on his face. "Because I'm having teenage emotions," I mumbled in a whispered tone, barely being able to compose myself.
"Oh geez, what did you do!" I shouted before running up to Namjoon, who was now toppled on the floor, clutching his knee. "I fell, and don't ask how, I don't even know how I did it," he muttered before attempting to stand up, only to fail. "Don't stand. Jin, go get our manager, and get the medics." I instructed, which caused Jin to immediately oblige and rush towards our dressing room while the others crowded around Namjoon. "I don't think you should risk performing on it tomorrow." My words alone earned me a wide-eyed look of shock from him. "But we've worked so hard, I'm supposed to perform a song from my mix tape,"
"If you perform on it, you can make it worse. You can't even stand." Although my tone was harsh, my point got across to him. He looked down at his knee, then back to me and the other members, "Fine, I won't perform. But this isn't going to stop me from working on the new albums." I couldn't help but roll my eyes at him and his workaholic tactics.
"Where's your leader?" Haneul asked as he ran a brush through my hair, trying his best to get the knots out. "He fell down a ramp yesterday and hurt his knee, so he couldn't dance," I explained as I shot glances at the clothes hanging on the portable clothing rack with my name on it. "Don't worry, I'm not going to put you in a bad outfit." I slightly shook my head at his words, "It's not that. I'm just not sure how I feel about wearing tight or short clothes anymore." The brush, once running through my hair, stopped as Hanuel rolled the clothing rack right next to the chair I was sitting in. "Look, I know we're low budget, but I'm here to make you look good, and those meaty thighs you got going on aren't helping." Just when I thought Haneul was going to help and be nice, he did the complete opposite. "I'm going to talk to the company about a diet for you. Maybe then we can lose that arm and leg fat," he mumbled under his breath while browsing through the clothing rack. "I was thinking we could put on these shorts," he said while holding out a pair of high-waisted black leather shorts. "They'll help hide your legs by making your toso look longer, and the matching shirt, with heels, so you look taller, and less stubby." I cleared my throat while looking at the clothes he was holding out before speaking. "What about the other performance? It has a completely different vibe," my voice hardly came out audible. I continued looking at the clothes and back at the smug look on Hanuels' face. It was almost like he enjoyed seeing my distorted thoughts coming back. "This shirt, with these pants," he said as he grabbed a pair of blue flared jeans with a matching blue denim top. "The pants and top are gonna do wonders in exaggerating your body shape. You were blessed with curves, but not enough." I nodded slowly, not wanting to argue with him, before I got up and looked at the two outfits. "Get dressed. The others are probably waiting," I didn't dare wait any longer before I grabbed the first outfit that was meant to match the other boys as I walked away from him and got dressed.
