Athena Pov

"Baby, kailangan na natin silang patulugin," sabi ko kay McKenzie habang hinahawakan ang braso niya.

"Good luck sa atin," pabirong sagot niya sabay tingin sa mga bata na parang kasing energetic pa rin kahit late na. "Ang cute talaga nila, pero ang likot din!"

The triplets were babbling away in their own little world, their tiny hands gesturing like they were having the most intense conversation ever. McKenzie and I exchanged amused looks as we watched them. Their faces were so serious, foreheads furrowed, eyes wide, as if they were solving some life-altering dilemma.

"Look at them," I whispered to McKenzie, "it's like they're plotting world domination."

McKenzie chuckled, "They're probably discussing who gets the last bite of mashed bananas."

One of the triplets pointed dramatically at her sibling and let out an emphatic, "Da-ba-ga-ba!"

McKenzie raised an eyebrow and whispered, "I think that was an insult."

I stifled a laugh. "Yeah, definitely. You should have heard what she said about the mashed carrots yesterday."

The triplets continued their babbling, oblivious to the fact that we had no idea what they were saying, but completely engrossed in their 'important' discussion.

"They're going to be a handful when they start talking for real," McKenzie said, smiling.

"La puta patatas! Kenna  shouted, pointing her tiny finger at her sister, Athenea, who was busy fiddling with a toy and barely noticing the drama unfolding.

I couldn't help but burst into laughter, clutching my sides as McKenzie recorded the entire scene on her phone, trying her best not to laugh too loudly. Gosh, they're so smart and quick to learn words, I thought, maybe a little too quick on some of these... questionable ones.

I heard little Kenna babbling again. She turned to Kenzie, her big green eyes wide with excitement. "Dada baba daaabaaaa," she declared proudly, pointing at the random toy in her tiny hand

Out of the sudden, the triplets started babbling some kind of... minion language? "Banana!" one of them giggled, followed by "Bello!" from another. I blinked and slowly raised an eyebrow, my gaze shifting to McKenzie, who was already laughing and clearly enjoying the chaos.

I crossed my arms and asked her, "Did you let them watch Minions again?"
