Athena Pov

The soft morning light was creeping in through the curtains, but honestly, I could barely move. Every muscle in my body was screaming. when I opened my eyes, my entire body feeling like it had been hit by a truck. A very enthusiastic, hormone-fueled truck.

It had been two years since McKenzie and I had a night like that, and wow, did she make up for it. Hindi kita titigilan, mahal. Those were her exact words last night at the party, whispered into my ear with that look.

I rolled over, slowly, careful not to disturb any already aching muscles, and glanced at McKenzie. She was peacefully asleep, her face innocent as ever. How was she still breathing normally after what she put me through last night?

I let out a long sigh, trying to sit up, but immediately decided against it. Nope. My body was done. Retirement at 30 was apparently a thing now. I sank back into the pillows, glaring at McKenzie's peaceful, unaware face. "Sana man lang pagod ka rin," I muttered under my breath.

I felt like I had aged ten years overnight. She didn't stop. Not until I'd literally passed out. I didn't even know that was possible.

I groaned. I should've known better. That glint in her eyes? That should've been my warning. And yet, here I was, feeling like a human pretzel who had been through a full-body workout with a superhuman.

I let out a long sigh, wincing at the soreness in places I forgot could even be sore, and muttered to myself, "Is this how I die?"

"Good morning," McKenzie mumbled sleepily, her voice far too chipper for someone who was responsible for my current state. She stretched, and I swear, I could almost hear my bones groaning in sympathy.

I gave her the best death stare I could muster, considering my weakened state. "Good morning daw," I muttered. "You should be arrested."

McKenzie blinked, clearly confused. "Huh? For what?"

"For what?" I repeated, my voice a mix of disbelief and exhaustion. " You practically broke me!"

A lazy grin spread across her face. "Oh, that"

I cut her off with a dramatic groan. "You didn't stop until I passed out"

She laughed, far too pleased with herself, and leaned over to kiss my forehead. "Well, it's been two years, I had to make up for lost time."
