23. New life..

5 years later...

"Sophie dear, can you please handle two more patients for today after your classes.. " said Olivia, the head of the department of psychology at the University of Wilkinson.

Yep, I have moved far away from the US and came here to UK, to be away from my parents, and everyone. I had to break Leo's heart, when I told him I am moving to Australia, which I did initially and then after having my 2 precious little ones, I moved to the UK. 

Yes.. I had twins as a result of what I did with Alessandro.. before I came to the US. I didn't take the night after tablets which he had carefully kept for me. Nope, I decide my life and I understand now if he never wanted to be with me, but I took a part of him and made two mini versions of him and me. 

I am happy. I work for someone else here..I occasionally talk to my family.. They were all mad at me and didn't understand why I was doing this. When Selena visited me, they all got to know everything and yet, they all visited me..

My parents come over to visit me every 3 months to help me and also to spend time with their favourite boys. Selena and my brother had a girl who turned 1 recently while my boys turned 4 and half. 

They wanted me to visit the US, but I refused. 

I don't want Alessandro to have an idea about what's happening in my life. Leo must've told him another story which I told him. 

I told Leo that I was moving to Australia as I have some interesting research work that I wanted to be part of and I told him not to wait for me, for I would always think of him as a friend rather than more than that. He said he was hurt, but would give me time and never heard from him again.

Two years ago, Selena told me Leo had gotten married to a doctor from Switzerland and has a little boy who is couple of months old now and is very happy and he moved back to Germany to be closer to his family. 

His US wing is handled by another subsidiary which is in partnership with our company. 

So, naturally I was happy.. My parents never talked about me to Leo and Leo occasionally asked if I was doing good, which they politely replied to. 

They told Leo I had no plans to marry.. probably in life.. and Leo would always tell them he hoped I would, for it's wonderful.

I was just busy with work and my lovely boys. I had no interest in anyone whatsoever. 

Last heard, from Selena and my mom that Alessandro is in Italy with his wife Jane and is doing good. He managed to kill the opposing party and got everything under his control. There were no more enemies and everyone loved the corporate style mafia that he ran. 

Also, the nephew of his enemy who was kept alive somehow died as he was already sick. So, there was no one who would stand up or even complain for he gave profits and opportunities to everyone and hence no one had any problems with him as he gave powerful positions to everyone. 

I wondered if he had kids, last I heard, he didn't have any yet..

Olivia was kind woman in her 50's and she always paid me more whenever I worked extra time, and honestly I didn't need it for my centres in the US were making enough money and I lived quite luxuriously wherever I went in Australia or UK. I had my nannies and driver. People must wonder what I did.. 

They all assumed I had a husband in the US. I never denied it. 

"Evan and Ryan " I shouted.. "Mommy's home" 

I heard the boys running... 

"Mommy" they screamed and hugged me.

I was so happy to be back home after working 8 hours straight, I felt so glad that I could take a holiday tomorrow. 

"Mommy, then can we go to the park" they asked in unison. 

"Yes.. we can.. if you sleep early today.. " I told them. 

They both agreed to the plan.

I was tired, after eating, I checked the boys, they were fast asleep, the nanny whispered to me.. 

I nodded my head and then I also retired for the day.
