In office,

Rudra is talking to David in the call.

Rudra: Hi David!!!

David: Hello Sir!

Rudra: How is everything going. Is there any danger?

David: No Sir!!

Rudra: Good!! Make sure Nithya or Mom are not alone. Follow them everywhere. Any small doubt, inform us immediately.

David: Sure Sir!

He cut the call and went back to his work.

Shivani came out of the washroom and is washing her hands. She heard her name in the conversation between two women there. They didn't see her and continued their talk.

W1: Do you see any change in Rudra Sir?

W2: Yea. He has become very calm these days. Earlier he used to be very rude to people.

W1: Yea. I have noticed that. Actually from when Shivani came to the office. He became calmer.

W2: You are right. Don't know what magic she has done on him. He will never question her work. Also she has started working in his team within a week of joining.

W1: What magic do you think she has done. You remember that day Tara was telling me that she has come from a very poor family. I am sure she would have shown her skills to him. You know.

Saying so they both laughed. Shivani who is listening to them felt bad and tears started flowing from her eyes.

W2: Yea. Some of the employees were telling me that she was coming with him in his car to the office as she was staying in his house.

W1: Really! Looks like she caught a big fish. He is handsome. Rich. Powerful. These low class girls have no shame in trapping rich men.

They left after spitting all the venom. Shivani who heard their conversation was devastated at the thought of someone pointing fingers at her character. She is already very insecure because of the differences in their status and is hiding her feelings. But these women's words have added weight to her insecurities. She cried there for some time and washed her face and came back to work. She started doing her work with a dull face. Her mind is only revolving around the words she heard about her. Rudra is completely busy in his meetings today.

Kavya who has just come from her 6th coffee break for the day sat beside Shivani. She started teasing her without knowing the weight of the situation.

Kavya: What Shivani? Did your hitler let you work outside today? Otherwise he won't leave you during lunch also.

Kavya's words added only anger to Shivani and she said in irritation,

Shivani: Shut up! Kavya. Don't you have any other work. If you are so free go for your next coffee break. I am not free here. Mind your business.

Kavya is stunned listening to her words. This is the first time she is seeing Shivani this angry in their years of friendship. It hurt her when she shouted at her. But she knows her friend is not someone who would snap at people easily, so she asked touching her shoulder.

Kavya: What happened Shivani? Why are you angry? I was just joking.

Shivani: Keep your jokes to yourself. I am sick of this..
