Chapter - 5

Months were passing like this, Meera could not hide her pregnancy anymore. People around her came to know that she is pregnant and started asking her questions. But she doesn't know what she should say. She could not say Raghav's name because she was afraid that these people may not believe her and harm her and the baby because he is not just Raghav now, he is the son-in-law of the village head. Raghav on the other side always ignored Meera and escaped from her from having any conversation. She doesn't know why he did that. Her love for him made it hard to believe that he married Archana for money. Her life has become miserable with the unbearable questions from the villagers.

Finally after 9 months, she gave birth to a baby boy. She named him Rudra. Her life has not changed after the baby. The taunts were still the same. But only hope is her little son, Rudra. She started living for him.

After few months, The news of Archana becoming pregnant has come. Archana and her family are elated. But Raghav is guilty. He knows the reason for Archana's preganancy. She brought Raghav under the influence of some medicines and got what she wanted. But it was too late by the time Raghav gained consciousness.

Despite the reason that news scattered the little hope that is left in Meera's heart. She believed that Raghav loves Archana and betrayed their love. It was hard for her to live like that. But, she made her mind and decided to live for her son.

6 years later,

A little boy was playing along with his friends in the school ground. He saw his friends returning to their homes when they saw their fathers came. Atlast he is left alone. The little boy also yearned for father's love. But it is not in his fate. He saw his mother coming from far to take him back home and smiled widely. He ran to her and hugged her. She hugged him back and kissed his forehead. They were Meera and Rudra.

Rudra was sharing about his day with his mother throughout their way back home. But one thing that was constant in their lives is the people taking behind their back about his father. Rudra does not understand why they taunt his mother but his little brain understood that it is a topic that will hurt his mother. So he never asked her about his father though he internally yearns for father's love.

In the haveli,

A little boy of 5 years old is playing without any idea about the commotion happening inside the house. He is Adithya, Archana and Raghav's son.

Inside the house, Sowjanya is screaming because of her labor. Manveer was pacing outside the room. All the family members are also present there.

Sowjanya and Manveer did not have children all these years. They offered prayers to every god. Finally their prayers are heard and Sowjanya is now giving birth to the heir to their family. After about an hour the cries of the baby are heard.

Midwife: Congratulations Ayya! It's a baby girl.

Listening to her everybody in the house are happy. She handed the baby to Manveer. Manveer took her in his hands and kissed her and asked.

Manveer: How is Sowjanya?

Midwife: She is fine. You can see her.

Manveer rushed inside the room and gave the baby to Sowjanya. She kissed the baby and looked at Manveer.

Manveer: Thank you.

Sowjanya: I love you Manveer. Thank you for never leaving my hand.

Their happiness has no bounds. Outside SuryaDev declared almsgiving and bonuses to all the workers and villagers.
