Mikha's POV: ( Warning Violence, rape, etc)
Everyone was just quiet, ramdam ko yung bigat sa bawat taong lumalapit sa urn ni Maloi at Jake. They are finally going to laid in rest, as for Aiah I was just holding her hand. I know how much she loved Jake and we need to support each other during this time.
Tito Mark finally cooperate with us and tinuturo niyang mastermind is yung tatay ni Colet but still, mahirap parin sa'kin tanggapin lahat dahil para ko nadin silang pangalawang pamilya. After nang libing he will give his statement and may mga hearing kami na attendan to be honest, nang malaman ko na si maloi nakabangga para nalang din akong nanlumo kasi ang Diyos na ang nagbigay ng kaparusahan sakanya pero, may mga tao kasing sangkot at hindi ko iyon pwede palagpasin.
When it's me and Aiah's turn to give flowers sa Urn ng magkapatid, I closed my eyes and said a prayer of forgiveness for Maloi. I know that a part of me will always see her as someone I used to love and someone who did everything para mabuhay ako at maging maayos ako pero a part of me thinks na.. baka ginawa niya lang lahat ng yon cause she's guilty.
As I was about to sit, I saw a familiar figure from a far.. Colet, I know she will come dahil hindi niya pwede palagpasin to. After the burial, I asked for Gwen to stay dahil we have Colet around the area pero pinalayo ko siya sakin. I just need back up.
"Aiah, mauna ka na mag pag-uusapan pa kami ni Gwen." Aiah just nodded, her eyes were puffy kakaiyak so I hugged her, and I felt her hugging me back with the tightest one she could give.
Nang maihatid ko na si Aiah sa sasakyan sinigurado ko na nakaalis na ang mga tao, I have Gwen to stay sa kotse and nagsabi ako na mag signal ako if I need help. I scanned the area, medyo maliit lang naman itong cemetery so dapat makikita ko agad si Colet, and there she was balot na balot ng jacket and nagmamadali umalis.
"Colet!" I shouted, she faced me and I saw her puffy eyes give me a furious look, she got her gun and tinutok niya sakin.
"Wag ka magkakamaling lumapit, Mikha!" I saw her eyes meeting mine, it was so furious.
"Sumuko ka na, Maloi would never be in peace kung nakikita ka na ganyan!" I said, she laughed sarcastically.
"Oh, ngayon ginagamit mo na naman si Maloi sakin? Sabagay, ginamit mo lang naman siya all these years!" She said and I felt myself being so mad sa sinabi niya.
"Wala kang alam Colet! Minahal namin ni Maloi ang isa't isa!" As soon as I finished my sentence, she dropped her gun and looked at me directly.
"Anong alam mo sa pagmamahal?" she said. " Akala mo ba magaling ka? Hindi ka magiging doctor if it wasn't for MALOI! Yes, it was Maloi all the damn time! remember when you are about to take an exam pero nangongoblema ka kasi parang hindi ka makakapag licensure exam? Dahil, let's be honest here hindi ka naman ganon kagaling! Do you know what Maloi have to endured para lang mapagbigyan ka ng mga matataas na tao sa University? She sell herself sa mga yon! Damn it! She did it all for you, I could not believe her pero nakita nang dalawang mata ko nung sinundan ko siya sa Dean's office and how Dean Patrimonio closed the door and shut down the curtains! Tangina ka! She give herself to those people para lang maging Doctor ka and yet, di ka sure sakanya?! Gustong gusto ko magsalita pero I've been holding back dahil ayoko na magalit si Maloi sa akin but you take her for granted. I know it was worse to know that she was your brother's killer pero aksidente yun! She was so scared, araw araw siyang binabangungot ng nangyari and I have to witness all of that!"
Colet was crying, I was shaking.... Maloi, did all of that for me?
"I was so angry at you Mikha, you maltreated her towards the end of your relationship when at the back of my mind. Sana ako nalang pinili niya kasi grabe magmahal si Maloi and now she's GONE! So might as well patayin niyo nalang din ako!"
Before I could react, I heard Gwen shouted "Colet, taas kamay!" and Colet was quick to react, nagpalitan sila ng putok ng baril ni Gwen and natamaan ako sa braso ni Colet. Unfortunately, nakatakas siya and Gwen brought me sa pinaka malapit na ospital.
Hilong hilo ako habang naka wheel chair, I feel dizzy dahil at nanghihina ako sa mga dugong nawala sakin. Last memory ko na eh nagkakagulo ang mga nurse sa paligid ko.
Nagising ako sa isang hospital bed, I checked my phone it's 10PM. I asked the nurse kung asan si Gwen ang sabi binilin daw ako and may pupunta daw para sakin. But I guess, si Aiah yun. I went to check my phone there were a few missed calls from Aiah so I tried calling her back but there were no answer. Pinilit ko ang sarili ko na tumayo and kahit masakit pa yung braso ko I forced myself na umalis sa hospital.
I rode a cab and bawat pag hinga ko parang may nakatusok sa puso ko dahil sumasabay sa sakit na nararamdaman ko sa braso ko.
As I reached Aiah's Condo, nagmadali ako pataas she must have been worried about me. I need to do some explaining. When I reached her door kakatok pa lang ako pero napansin ko na bukas ito, kaya pumasok na ako nang tuluyan bumungad sakin ang magulong mga gamit ni Aiah. She was nowhere to be found. I was cursing myself while shouting her name. I checked every room even the comfort room but there's no sign of Aiah I saw Lingling caged up, so I had to uncaged him first. Ang dami na tumatakbo sa utak ko, I can't lose Aiah! Siya nalang ang meron ako! And God knows that I love her.
While scattering all the messy clothes I noticed a paper kaya binuksan ko ito "Bellevue Avenue, lot 8.. wala kang isasama kung ayaw mo na hindi makitang buhay si Aiah" kahit nanghihina I had to Call one person...
Jhoanna came and she helped me to fix everything in Aiah's condo. I instructed her that I cannot let Gwen be involved baka masaktan si Aiah.
"Jho, naiintindihan mo ba lahat ng sinabi ko?" Jho nodded and that's my go signal to find Aiah. I went inside my car to finally save Aiah. As I was about to drive, I held my gun closer to me.. It's now or never. Kung may mawawala man na buhay ngayong gabi.. bahala na! this has to end!
When I reached the address, madilim ito.. I had to to use flashlight mabaho at marumi ang paligid. Until I saw Aiah, she was helpless nakatali siya habang naka upo sa sahig and then I saw Colet... with her dad. When they saw me, Colet smiled.
"You came" was her first word, I was nervous but I am more nervous na baka mapano si Aiah.
"So you are Mikha... so good to finally see you!" It was Colet's dad and he was bald, to my surprise he looked like he did have cancer. Colet handed him a gun and he was playing it like it was a toy "Hindi naman sana natin kailangan, mapunta sa ganito pero, ayaw mo tigilan ang anak ko" He pointed the gun at me "Bang" he said, and then him and Colet laughed!
Before he could continue, I got my gun and shot him directly sa puso niya, Colet was shocked. I shot him again. Colet shouted " dad!" and then lumabas ang 3 lalaki na nagpaputok ng baril habang yung iba inaalalayan ang daddy ni Colet na mukhang 50/50 na.. nakalimutan yata ni Colet.. Laking CAVITE AKO! I was quick to shield myself, I pressed something sa watch ko and yung tatlong lalaki ay natamaan ko naman one of them in the chest, yung isa sa balikat at yung isa direct hit sa ulo.
Nakita ko na sumisigaw si Colet, she was furious. Very furious, dinala ng mga lalaki ang tatay ni Colet sa kotse.
"MIKHA!!!!!! LUMABAS KA!!!" She shouted, so I did. I showed myself.
Nagkatutukan kame ng baril asa gitna namin si Aiah, umuulan sa labas na may halong kidlat. She was mad and so was I, Aiah was still tied up and wala padin siyang malay. Pakiramdam ko pinatulog nila si Aiah. Nakataas lang ang baril namin ni Colet sa isa't isa.
"Tatapusin ko na to ngayong gabi Mikha!" she said, she tried shooting me pero hindi tumama, nabitawan niya ang baril niya at nabitawan ko din ang akin. Nasuntok ko si Colet while natamaan niya din ako, medyo malakas si Colet sakin, she threw a few punches to me that made me weak and get down sa ground. Nasa ibabaw ko si Colet she was throwing punches at me, halos mag white na ang paningin ko.
When she thought it was enough, she grabbed something sa likod niya.. A knife.. she points it at me while saying "Pinatay mo ang daddy ko, pinatay mo si Maloi! You will pay!" She was about to stab me when she heard someone shout. "ELLA!" masiyadong mabilis ang pangyayari, nadinig ko ang pagputok ng baril na tumama kay Colet, nabitawan niya yung kutsilyo. I saw Colet laid on the ground... may bumaril sakanya.
Nang maka kuha ako ng lakas, I tried sitting down and wiped the blood coming out of my nose. I tried standing up, nakita ko si Colet na wala ng malay dahil sa pagkakabaril. Pinulsohan ko siya meron parin kahit mahina.. when I checked who did it... there she was, Aiah. She was holding the gun and she was shaking, crying uncontrollably.
I went to her, she dropped the gun and we hugged each other tightly. "Shush.. it's okay, you're okay!" I tried making her calm. Kasabay noon ang pagtigil ng ulan.
"Mikha...tapos na, it's done" She said and I smiled at her and give her a hug. Maya-maya dumating na si Jho kasama si Gwen. I instructed Jho na after 20 minutes pumunta sa address na binigay ko kasama si Gwen, sinabi ko na nararamdaman ko na si Colet ang may pakana nito pero hindi niya ito magagawa mag isa. I told Jho I must get rid of them bago pa kami ang unahin nilang mapatay. I asked Jho to call Gwen at magpadala ng pulis na naka antabay sa bawat kanto dahil alam ko na magbabalak tumakas si Colet or her dad.
The police escorted Colet's dad sa hospital while yung mga tauhan nila kinulong, Gwen and Jho waited sa car. Kaya ako pumindot sa relos ko as a signal na nakabaril na ako at ayos lang ako for Jho to know na okay ako, sinabihan ko sila na laban ko ito pero kakailanganin ko sila.
The ambulance came and dinala si Colet na buhay pa raw sa ospital kasama ang mga police, sinakay din ako sa ambulansya, I was holding Aiah's hand dahil sumama siya sakin. Medyo napuruhan yung braso ko na may tama ng bala kaya walang tigil ang dugo.
"Mikha, please... promise me you will be okay" Aiah pleaded while I could hear nothing but the siren of the ambulance. " I will be okay Ai. " I answered and she smiled, kahit na magulo ang paligid Aiah quickly kissed me.
" I love you... we are soulmates! ikaw si Ella!" she said after she kissed me, I smiled, and as much as I would love to stay awake, nawalan na ako ng malay with the last vision of Aiah smiling at me while holding hand inside the ambulance.
