Once school ends for Amia, I pick her up and bring her back to Severus's quarters since she likes it there. Besides, Minerva isn't back yet and there's no point in going back there since she took her cat this time. Amia would've loved Bliss to be by her side for three whole weeks. They seem inseparable.

After taking off Amia's backpack, we both hear a knock at the door. So I open it and see Gabby in her Hufflepuff uniform.
"Oh, hi Gabby."

"Hi Ms. (L/n). The girls and I finished classes early today and we want to know if we can take Amia out for lunch. Maybe some ice cream later." Gabby offers.

"School is done early today? I didn't know that."
Then that means Severus is coming back early. It can be our chance to talk.
"But yes. Amia can join."

"Great! Hey Amia, wanna get some lunch? And some ice cream later?" Gabby asks Amia when she gets closer.

"Okay." Amia smiles and hugs my legs as a goodbye.
"Bye mommy." She grabs Gabby's hand with one hand and waves goodbye with the other.

"Bye sweetheart. Be careful and be sure to stay with Gabby. I'll see you soon." I blow an air kiss at her as she walks away with Gabby by her side.

After closing the door, I quickly enter the kitchen so I can make some lunch for Severus. I want to make him a panini sandwich that I made last time since he clearly enjoyed it. Though this time, I'll add a bit more cheese and more sauce dressing.

Just putting the sandwich together is making me hungry already. But when I place it on the panini press, the smell makes my stomach growl so loud. I'm hoping it does the same to Severus because he hasn't eaten any of my food for a week. I'm worried about him.

When the sandwich gets done heating up, I hear the front door open but I get scared when it's slammed shut.
I don't think he's in a good mood today.

His footsteps seem to lead into the bedroom so I quickly put the sandwich on a plate without burning myself and followed him.

"Severus?" I call him and see him sitting on the bed while rubbing his temple with his palm.
"I made you some lunch."

Severus lowers his hand to look at me but when he does, his eyes seem to be light red. I get worried about him going back to drinking but he doesn't smell like it at all. He's not acting like his usual tipsy or drunk self at all. So the only thing that explains his eyes going red is because of his painful migraines.

"I don't have the appetite." He says quietly.

I set the plate down on the dresser and approach him but he stands up to leave the bedroom.
"Severus, wait." I grab his arm to stop him from leaving and even stand in his way.
"I was wanting to talk today but I'm guessing it's a no for tonight, again."

Severus pinches the bridge of his nose and lets out a sigh.
"(Y/n). I-"

"I know. I know. But just listen to me." I cup the side of his face to see his eyes more clearly.
"Look, I know you don't want to talk about us today and that's fine with me. I'll wait for you until you're ready to talk. But at least tell me if you're stressed or if you have those headaches again, please."

Severus removes my hand so he can leave but I block his way again.

"Severus stop. Look at me." I cup both sides of his face to make him pay attention.
"Our communication is not the best right now and I don't know if it ever will be. But just because we're not talking, it doesn't mean you stop asking me for help."

Severus tries to look away but I keep his head still to not make him turn away from me.

"I told you that I'm willing to help you however I can. But please don't hide that pain away from me. I'm here for you, remember?" I say while gently caressing his cheeks with my thumbs.
"I can help with those headaches."
