Beth arrived home later that evening, and walked into our room. "It's all going on at Missy's I tell ya! So Aaron drags the scumbag who stole their tv in and-" she started waffling on, a smile on her face as she told the story, before she saw my face and realised something was wrong.
Her smile dropped and she looked at me with worry. "What's gone on?" She asked. I looked down, not sure how to say it. "Tell me Georgia" she told me sternly.
"Dad got mad at me, and then Jordan stepped in to help and-"
"Did he hurt ya?" Beth asked, her face riddled with concern. "He slapped me" I told her, as he face dropped. "Oh my god" she exclaimed, her hand covering her mouth, before her intial reaction wore off, and she quickly came and sat beside me on my bed and pulled me in for a hug.
"What happened?" She asked. "He were mad cos a teacher called him and told him I skipped my lessons, soo... he slapped me" I stated. "How dare he put his hands on you! You're a kid!" Beth exclaimed with anger in her voice.
"It weren't just me. I saw him punch Jordan, I don't know what else happened, Jordan told me to go upstairs" I said. Beth shook her head in despair. "Is he alright?" She asked. I shrugged. "He came and checked on me and sat with me for a bit, then he went out" I told her.
"Oh god I feel so guilty. I wouldn't have gone out if I knew there was a problem!" Her voice sounded agitated, like she was angry at herself. "Stop. You're allowed to have fun. No one knows when he's gonna blow" I reassured her, giving her a tighter squeeze.

Beth's POV I left the house, going to find Jordan, as I guessed he was out running drugs. I like to pretend I don't know what he does, as if I was to accept what he's doing, I would stress about him too much.
I went to the edge of the estate, and I was right. He was sat on a railing, still in his school uniform, his black hoodie was up, hiding his face, but I knew it was him.
"Jords" I called out, as his head lifted quickly to see who it was. "Oh.. alright?" He greeted, as I came and stood beside him, leaning on the railing.
"Georgia told me what happened" I mentioned, as Jordan shook his head. "I couldn't stop him, I tried. I let him fucking hit her" he spoke, with anger in his tone.
"I came to tell you how brave you are" I said. I could tell he was blaming himself which is the opposite of what he should be doing. "She's my little sister-" I cut him off, as I needed to reassure him.
"You stood up to a man who battered you just last night? Jordan your brave. You're our little brother, and we couldn't even stand up for you against him. We weren't brave enough. But you could." I spoke softly but sternly so he knew I was serious.
