Chapter 118
"Come on baby girl I am going to take you with me. Uncle Max, I will get up with you later. You might want to let dad take her and you and Bridget could get some cuddle time." She winked at him and left to go out to the kids who hadn't come in yet.
Mitchell, who was coming out of his room saw his dad with Melody. "Where is Jena shouldn't she have her?"
"She didn't like her this morning and she wouldn't stop crying."
"I will take her you get some sleep."
"I am going to wake up Bridget and we are going to join the rest of the grandkids they are out back in the pond."
I guess I will take Melody out to join the rest of them." Mitchell went out to see the three playing in the ponds splashing water at the babies that were sitting in bouncers giggling. "Can we join in?"
The triplet's smiles stopped then they looked at the baby in their father's arms. Amelia didn't want to get involved with the baby but didn't want her kids to be mean to her either. "I have another seat over there by the door. It's not a bounce but she can sit in it and get her feet wet like the rest of them." Mitchell got the biggest smile.
"Mum, do we have to get her wet?"
"Evan, you wanted brothers, now you got them, and two more sisters you should play with them just like the boys."
Conny joins in. She is going to cry. Mason cried the first time and so did Morgan."
Olivia had to tease her brother. "Boys are criers not girls she will be like Madie and not cry."
"That is not true they didn't like getting water on them, that's all." Evan hates it when his sisters make fun of boys.
"Alright let her get her feet wet, don't splash her. Each of you take a handful of water and pour it on her legs. Let her get used to the water and if she cries stop doing it." The kids got Melody wet, and she didn't cry. Mitchell was thankful that the kids were getting along but most of all he was happy that Amelia was not ignoring Melody. "
As Mitchell was not paying attention Amelia got a bucket of water and dumped it on his head. "You need to get wet like the rest of us."
"You didn't." That was it the kids were kicking water at him, and he was splashing them back." He laughed and played like he was part of the family.
Jena was watching them; her temper was flaring. Max and Bridget came out and saw the way she was acting. When Jena saw them her face and attitude changed. "Good morning, they are having fun aren't they." Her voice was sweet and gentle.
Half an hour later Amelia yelled; "School work then lessons." The kids hopped out of the pond and ran to Sadie. I got the babies you get them dressed. I will meet you in the project room."
Mitchell picked up Morgan. "Can I take one of them for you?"
"No thanks I have a system and it works." He watched her change and dress each one of the babies and put them in their stroller.
"That was fast, I can't get just one changed like that."
"Practice you will be doing it in no time. Uncle Max I have Ruth coming with the Gator to take you guys on a tour of this side of the ranch, if you want you can see the other side with her tomorrow when the kids are in class or we can take you later the kids love the goats and the llamas, they would love two rides in one day."
Max jokes. "We can't all fit on the gator."
"The kids will take the horses or the four wheelers. So, you want to go today then?"
