Chapter 130
Amelia walked out of the room not sure how she felt. Part of her felt sad but part felt relieved. Mitchel saw the way she was when she got to the car. "What happened you look like you saw a ghost you're so pale."
"I think I am in a nightmare that never ends. I need to go home."
"Do you need me to fix something? I am a good listener if you want to talk."
"This I have to figure out for myself right now." On the ride home Ames sat there quietly thinking then she got a smile. "You know what all three kids are yours and I am not one of those type of women."
"With everything going on that is what you are worried about what others think about you."
"No, yeah. The kids don't have to say this is my brother and he has a different father and the same mother, but we were born at the same time."
"So, what. It isn't that important."
"This makes it normal and not so screwed up. You see."
"Woman you are crazy."
"Mitch, I want you to get my house back in the states cleaned up and stocked we are going home to see your brother's baby. He is due anytime now or she just had him."
"You want to go back for a visit?"
"Yeah, that is what I had planned in the first place."
"I will make some calls in the morning." The kids were up when they walked in the house. "Hi guys I came in to say good night before I drove home."
"Mitch it is late if you want to stay your old room is set up and you left some of your clothes there."
"I'd like that but let me make sure dad is good watching Melody."
"What are you talking about. Melody is here, your dad and Bridget went to help Edith she was so upset."
"Then great I would love to stay."
"It is settled then. Guys it is way past your bedtime, say good night, if you move fast enough, Da might tell you a bedtime story."
Mitch gave her a smile. "Hurry up I don't want to miss out on telling you a story." The three took off. "Thanks, Ames, for this and everything you have done to get the kids to like me."
"You did most of the work. They have come around because you took the time with them."
"Evan is coming around because I let him drive the car all the time. The girls are happy because I had Butch buy them a few dairy cows. "
"Just what we need cows. How did they talk you into them?"
"When we went horseback riding, they were talking about wanting cows and that they are nice to have around. They said they missed having Uncle Collin here he talked you into things. So, my male pride had to make sure they got cows. With everything going on I had Butch get them. They got here two days ago when we were dealing with all the other shit. I had him hide them in the field on the other property, so you didn't see them.
"I am going to kick his ass he knew I didn't want cows."
"Don't blame him I told him it was a surprise. You know he can't say no to the kids. It only cost me buying twenty alpacas."
"How many cows do we have?"
"Just ten and one bull. If we had dairy cows Butch said we should get a bull so we can get milk. These are his words not mine."
Amelia sighs. "That man is going to make me crazy. Next, he is going to want a cow barn and a milking shed."
"I think him, and Rodney have measured off a space for one over on the other property. He said he wanted to lay it out before asking you about it. One good thing is they are all babies under four months old. You don't have to worry about it until they get older."
