The van pulled out as Mitchell watched them leave. "She seems awful happy today." He finished his coffee and left to go back inside.

"Mum, I forgot to tell you. Herbert a friend at school is raising rabbits he said he likes me, and he is giving me two of them."

"No Olivia we have enough animals and can't take anymore."

"But mum he has over three hundred of them and he eats them and sells their fur." She makes a face. "Do you shave a rabbit like the sheep?"

Sadie laughs, no darlin they skin it and dry out the pelt."

"You mean he kills them for their fur."

"He sells the meat too. It is just like any other animal they are part of the food chain." Sadie tells her.

"He isn't my friend anymore he is killing little bunnies. Mum, I have to take them, so he doesn't skin them."

"Sadie you are no help why would you tell them that."

"You said always tell the truth and make sure to make it easy for them to understand. That's what I did, so why are you Sadie Ing me."

"We are at school be good and we will talk about rabbits later."

"He is bringing them to school today for show and tell. I get to bring them home he promised." Amelia puts both hands on her face and leans over the steering wheel trying not to scream.

"You are taking care of them, and they better not smell up the place. The pups are going to want to chase them, so you better be careful with them. Now out of the car. Be good I love you."

"The ankle biters are gone. Why do you want me to come today?"

The houses are ready for three families, I want you to pick them and send them to the house."

"That is going to take all day I won't have time to pack the kid's stuff."

"I will go home early with you today and help. I want to buy a new bathing suit, something that will make Mitch drop his eye teeth."

"You want him back huh."

"This is a test. I want to know if he cannot act like an overprotective ass and let me be who I am."

What are you going to do if he passes the test?"

"I might give him another chance."

If he fails?"

"Then he stays part of the kids' lives and I just stay alone."

"Is that why you took Melody with us?"

"I didn't take Melody. Mitch was taking her with him."

"Someone got something messed up she is sitting right here."

"I bet he snuck her in here. That man."

"I wouldn't put it past the kids doing it. Sady laughed. You weren't home long enough to see, or you were to tired but did you see Jingles girl friend?"

"Jingles girlfriend what are you talking about?"

"The kids told Mitchell that jingles is all by himself and needed a girlfriend. She is a beautiful Sheltie, and the kids love her. They had Marti hide her this morning. She even has a name, its cute they called her bell."

"I am going to kill them. At least this one can help with the sheep." Amelia is rubbing her temples. "I swear if they bring home one more animal I am moving out."

"You never told me what happen with Collin?"

"He is alive and well. His mother and him are going to stay in his house in town and then they are going back to England."
