Felix

I woke up to the morning sun filtering in to the abundance of windows in front of me. I squeezed my eyes shut and groaned as I laid back down on the bed. Why is the sun even shining in my eyes? My bed faces the other way?

Where am I?

I heard a chuckle beside me, "Morning, princess."

Oh, never mind. I remember.

I roll over on my side and slowly open my eyes again to adjust to the light. In front of me stood Adrien fresh out of the shower with a towel wrapped around his waist. "Sleep well?"

I smiled and nodded as he came closer to give me a quick peck on the forehead before retuning to his wardrobe to gather some clothes.

As he made his way over to me, I couldn't help but admire his physique. It was rather hard not trying to stare. Until something caught my eye.

"What is that?" I ask pointing to his torso, the small bit of calligraphy sticking out to me, "Is that a tattoo?"

Adrien looks down to where I pointed and chuckled, "Oh this? I got it last year."

I look back at him, "How? Isn't there a minimum age requirement?"

He smiled, "Let's just say I had my ways."

I traced my fingers over the ink the words "mon amour" etched in beautiful handwriting. "It's beautiful."

"It was for my mother." He spoke, "When she died it was the last words she said to me."

I looked up to meet his glassy eyes and frowned. I know how it feels to lose someone you love.

"She would've loved it." I said with a small smile, "And she would've been so proud of who you've become."

Adrien smiled again as he put the rest of his clothes on and climbed back into the bed with me.

"She would've loved to see you again." He said as he laid beside me, "She was always encouraging me to talk to you."

I laughed and we shared a moment of comfortable silence before he spoke again. "I was thinking, about what you told me about my dad."

I stood quiet as he continued, "What if he's trying to get our miraculous to bring my mom back."

My heart quickened knowing where this conversation will go, "Why can't we just let him win? He gets the miraculous, he makes the wish, and then he gives it right back. That's it."

I looked away guiltily, knowing I once had the same thought, but knowing the outcome wouldn't be great. "To make his wish something else needs to be given to keep the balance."

He stops, "What does that mean?"

I sighed, "I mean life will be taken to balance the life being brought back." I took his hand in mine, "I can't risk that."

He stopped and then looked at me, "But what about your power? You can revive her right? I mean your power is rebirth."

I only shook my head, "Let's not talk about this today, yeah? I'm not even fully sure how my power works."

He sighed and laid his on my chest, "Yeah, I guess your right, besides I need to get ready since Felix is coming over today."

I gave a look of disgust, "Oh your evil twin."

Adrien gave me a look, "He's not evil, he's just going through a rough patch, like we all do."

I scoff, "I still don't like him, he always acts fake, like he's hiding something."
