Gabriel Agreste

I sat at the edge of my bed, staring at the blank wall at the opposite end of my room. Only one thought ran through my head.

"It's not Adrien.... It's not Adrien.... It's not Adrien."

That thought could make my heart stop. But it leads for two different questions:

1) If that's not Adrien, who is it... and

2) Where is the real Adrien?

My eyes slowly peered down to the collage of photos frames, photos from our times together, team Firekitty hanging out, and one photo, hanging delicately in the middle, me and Adrien sitting atop the Eiffel Tower.

I fiddled with the ring.

If I'm honest, I think I could answer those questions instantly. The real question is why this would happen?

What lengths would Gabriel Agreste go to get his wife back? How far will he take this if he has already sacrificed his son?

It disgusts me.

I turn my head and peer over to the collage of photos once again. Pictures of me and him smiling and goofing around with no care in the world.

If only we could rewind time.

I sigh and turn my head back to the ceiling, closing my eyes as I feel my heart pound in my chest.

He was so close, but will I be able to reach him?

Suddenly, my phone started to buzz. Pulling me out of my state.

Without moving the rest of my body, I threw my arm out, reaching and feeling around my bed for the buzzing phone.

After a few pats, I finally found it. I picked it up and helmet in front of my face, finding that Chloe was the one to buzz me out of my thought process.

Taking in a breath I pressed answer and saw her face pop up on the screen.

"Y/N! Are you coming?" She spoke immediately.

I rose a brow, "What are you talking about?"

Chloe deadpanned, "Please don't tell me you forgot..." she waited to see if I would remember, but I just stared.

She sighed and continued, "The Agreste Ball?"

I widened my eyes, "Oh, is that today?"

Chloe nodded with a hopeful gleam, while I shook my head, "Yea, I'm not going. My parents aren't even here to attend either."

Chloe deflated, "Then who am I supposed to gossip with?"

I sat up, "Isn't Zoe gonna be there?"

She pouted, "Yea, but I can't talk about the "Adrien" stuff with her, now can I?"

She used air quotes for his name after I told her about my new realization. Of course she immediately believed it, saying something like she knew her Adrikins, and he was not.

She placed a finger on her chin, seemingly deep in thought, "We should come up with a name for him.... Fadrien? Maybe?"

I shook my head as she continued to whine.

"Please... you have to come."

I sighed again, "I don't know..." I then thought of someone else that would be there. "Wait, won't Luka be there? He said he got a job serving, you guys can hang out together."

Now it was Chloe's turn to sigh, "No, he was assigned kitchen and ballroom. He won't be with us."

She pouted, using a finger to mimic a tear falling. "What am I going to do."
