I laid, curled in a cocoon of Chloe's duvet as she scrambled to pick out clothes. "You have to go to New York, how could I go without you!" She trudged over to the bed and pulled on the duvet. "C'mon you can introduce me to your old friends and we can hang out at that hero hang you've been telling me about."
I pulled the duvet back over my head with a groan, "I don't wanna" I whine as I curl in a bit more. Chloe sighs and leans over me, "What about your mom and your new step-dad, don't you wanna see them."
I let out an exhausted breath, "They won't be there." I finally sat up and threw the covers off of me, surprising Chloe. "They went on vacation after HAWKMOTH. TRIED. TO KIDNAP. MY MOM!"
I threw my hands in the air as Chloe leans away to dodge, "For an old man he's a little bitch." I huff as I lean against the head board.
Chloe looked at me with a small pout and scooted over to sit beside me. She slowly turned to face me, placing a hand on my knee, "Is this about the Adrien thi-"
"Yes its about the Adrien thing." I whine and threw my head back with a sigh, "I don't know what I'm going to do."
Chloe furrowed her brow. "You don't want to go to New York because Adrien will be there."
"Yes.....No?" I squeak curling the blankets close to me. I tried to hide, "It's complicated."
"How can it be complicated. You two broke up."
There was a stinging in my eyes and a lump in my throat but I had to answer, "I don't what it is, but I don't think it was him saying those things."
I stared ahead of me, "The way he looked at me. It...it was different."
It was quiet for a moment before Chloe gasped, "Do you think it's Felix?"
I widened my eyes, "Oh, HELL no. I would know that bitch when I see him." I scrunched my face in disgust, "At least he would have some emotion when breaking up with me."
My eyes didn't focus on anything as I remembered the day of the breakup, "It seemed like he didn't feel anything."
I groaned again and slid back under the sheets, "I just wanna stay here. There's no way I could stay in the same vicinity as him for a whole week."
Chloe huffed and peeked under the blankets at my fetal position, looking me straight in the eyes, "You won't have to interact with him, you'll have me."
I stared back at Chloe with a melancholy look, my lips frowning in a slight pout, hoping she'd let this go and leave me alone wallow in my sorrows in Paris. But no she's relentless, utterly relentless.
Chloe gave me an expecting smile, "Soooooo~"
I sighed "Fiinnneee."
She squealed, "Yeas! Now let me find outfits for you. You are gonna be America's top model!" She jumped off the bed and began to search for clothes once again.
As she weighed her options, she laughed to herself like she just remembered something funny. "It was too bad you weren't at school today. Marinette really gave main character energy to rally the class to help Adrien go to New York. 'anything for a friend'" She laughed to herself "She-"
She stopped and eyed me biting the inside of my cheek.
"Sorry..."
She finally got everything packed and loaded it onto Luka's scooter who was waiting for us outside the hotel. "You ready to go? The bus already left."
Chloe's eyes widened as she gasped, "WHAT?!"
"HURRY! HURRY! We're gonna miss the bus!" Chloe yells form behind Luka, who drove the scooter. I sat in the side car holding onto our suitcases.
