Desparada

Being a third wheel is hard, especially when you don't have to be. I was perfectly fine waiting at the school, watching my own boyfriend fence.

Or heck, hang out with my brother who's mysteriously never around much. He told me something happened, but not what.

Instead, here I am sitting on the couch, watching random videos on my phone to block out the annoying PDA couple that is Chloe and Luka.

Chloe leans her head on Luka's shoulder with a giggle as she closes her eyes and listens to the guitar play a soft romantic melody. The music slows just a bit, and out the corner of my eye, I see Luka set the guitar down and take Chloe in.

I groan and grab a nearby pillow to throw, hitting the two in the head before they get lost in a make-out session.

"I'm still here you know," I growl, "Go get a room."

"This is my room." Luka deadpans and I sigh, "Well, then tell me to leave."

Luka smirks, "Okay then, you can hang out on deck for a bit, yeah."

I scoffed and sent another pillow flying before I stood and headed out the room. That was until Chloe spoke. "Wait, I have to go too."

She begins to stand as Luka takes her hand standing with her. He stops her with a small pout and turns her around, "But we haven't even finished the album yet, you were supposed to help me with it."

"Ah... that was the reason we were here." I exclaim, "I guess I completely forgot, due to all the kissing and touching going on."

Luka laughed, "Now you see our pain when you and Adrien are together."

Instantly heat ran to my cheeks, "We aren't that bad." I say, shying away just a bit, "Are we?"

Luka chuckles again, "In and out of hero mode. It's one thing to see it amongst friends, but it's worse if I see it on the news."

I blush again, "Ugh, fine. I'll just wait on the deck."

Luka smiles triumphantly, but Chloe looks remorseful, "But I seriously have to go. I've been distracting you, and I promised my dad I was going to help set up for my parent's wedding anniversary party soon."

She gives a quick peck on his cheek before heading out, "Gotta stay on his good side if we want to get you a concert venue." She winked.

Leaving me to laugh, "Since when are you not on your dad's good side."

Chloe leaned in, "Some of our classmates are going to be here soon and I know we worked it out and all, but I still feel awkward around them. Just don't wanna get caught up with you know who."

I nodded and gave her a quick hug goodbye.

Luka sighed as he watched her go and picked up his guitar with melancholy, "Guess I actually have to write songs now."

I laugh, "Yes that would be ideal , so I can start choreographing your stage performances." I sat back on the couch as he began to write some lyrics again. "Is it true that you invited some of our classmates over?"

Luka stopped playing, "Oh so that's why she left. I did say I invited over kitty section so they can listen to the new album and tell me what they think before I release it. I guess she had a feeling that the majority of class would tag along."

I went back on my phone to scroll through the class group chat. "Given that your house is like one of the hangout zones, she's not far off."

I then look out the window and notice a group of teens heading our way, "I guess she was right."
