"Ike. Are you sure about this plan?" Ellen asked while she and Isaac were at their safehouse after a council meeting with the JSDF. "I'm sure about this, right now, Y/n should be in complete denial and in despair of seeing his beloved being branded as a national threat," Isaac answered, sure of himself that this will deal a huge blow to Y/n's mental state.
"This may come and bite us in the back, he'll retaliate against us," Ellen warned of a potential threat with what Isaac was planning. Y/n would surely not let them get away with it. "That's the idea, if Y/n attempts to retaliate, then it just sends more proof that he is an accomplice, and in turn, it will ruin the life of his friends and family," he explained and then added that although this was to damage his morale, it was mostly to buy them some time. "We have another enemy to think about that rivals us both in influence and power," Isaac claimed and Ellen knew what he was implying.
"I got too shortsighted. I had thought that Amerhauser was weak and not to be dealt with, and I didn't expect them a business boom from them so fast," Ellen admitted her fault in accidentally leaving loose ends on her part. "Nobody had anticipated it either way. Booms are quite strange after all," Isaac reassured that Ellen wasn't at fault for overlooking something they didn't expect to be a thorn on their side.
"However, that's why we have to stall our biggest threat. We have something that can surpass whatever technology they have if we are given enough time to research the pendant. Judging how they have a Spirit on their side, it's not being paranoid if we take lots of precautions," Isaac told Ellen before he continued to glue his eyes on the TV.
"What are you focused on about either way?" Ellen asked as she noticed Isaac focused on the TV. "I do wonder about something. Since I doubt that Y/n wouldn't be able to miss the news since his friends and family will notify him...
I wonder what kind of despaired face he is making?"
Going back to the Karasawa Residence, Y/n is still in shock and fear as the news portray Origami far worse than who she is. Described as a 'Living Natural Disaster', Origami was blamed of all the origins of spacequakes, and even more so with the Eurasia Spacequake, the very first calamity that occured 20 years ago that wiped out a majority of Eurasia's population. Each were provided with 'proofs' and 'evidences' that in the view of public eye, it seemed so plausible.
"This is bullshit. They're using this opportunity to attack us," Haruka snarled as Tonomachi and Kusakabe observed Y/n who was still listening to the news. "That's all a lie... That's all a lie... What they're saying is all a lie... Why are you pinning down the deaths of inmocent lives to her?" Y/n muttered as he was becoming unstable mentally and emotionally.
"Let's go out. You don't need to hear any of this today," Kusakabe said to Y/n as she placed her hand on his shoulder. "Both of you stay here and guard Yoshino. I'll have to tend to Y/n for a while," she told Tonomachi and Haruka. "Now hold on! I can't just let you take him! I don't know who you are either!" Tonomachi protested and Haruka raised her hand the moment he approached the lieutenant.
"Let her. She's Origami's superior and a trusted friend. Although she's a JSDF Anti Spirit Troop Lieutenant, she's in cahoots with us," Haruka reassured Tonomachi with a calm and firm voice. It took a while for Tonomachi to reassess the situation before he closed his eyes. "Fine. If that's the case, then go. Just please keep him safe," Tonomachi requested and in response, Kusakabe smiled sincerely and told him she will.
