'Kaguya, Yuzuru, be careful. My sensors discovered a sudden spike of Reiryoku from Y/n.' Johannes warned Kaguya and Yuzuru. 'Question, is he gaining on us?' the latter asked, needing confirmation of his proximity. 'So far, no. However, he seems to be intent on either experimenting or gassing himself out since this is a risky play. Although he can boost himself, that'll probably drain his stamina if he keeps spiking his Reiryoku up,' Johannes stated and Kaguya asked if they should stall for time or continue with the plan.

'I suggest we continue with the plan. I doubt we'd reach the point where he'd gas out. The only reason Kotori reached that point was because she could heal, but even then, she looked like she was on her last legs. If it were anyone without either insane durability or healing factor of a phoenix, it's impossible to endure all that, especially when his whole expertise is accumulated damage and landing hits that will cut your consciousness even for a split second.'

'Understood, we will tread with caution from here on out,' Kaguya responded with full agreement to Johannes' advice. 'Well, I trust you to make good decisions. Meanwhile, I'll be on watch duty. So far, Shido's position hasn't changed but is currently out here hunting for you two. Be careful. So far, his shots are more likely aimed to slow you down rather than hit you directly,' Johannes warned and just as he predicted, Shido started firing shots again and the trajectory was very much ahead of them.

It was clear that Shido was clearly aiming for them to decelerate so that Y/n could catch up. The shots that were fired at them could be barely ignored, as one of these can spell defeat as the power put into one of these can knock them out unconscious if they aren't aware. They had to evade each shots fired at them and one single mistake meant another enforced infight and that was the worst case scenario with a Y/n who was using full capacity of his powers.

However, Shido was not the type to let them escape. He fired a peculiar bullet onto a rock formation in front of them. As it stuck itself onto the rock, it caused an explosion that made the debris fall on them. Shido then fired more explosive rounds, making rocks fall onto them and caused a commotion and made them stop in their tracks.

'Please be careful! Shido has left out residual Reiryoku around our vicinity! It seems like he has figured me out and used spread out his Reiryoku so I can't detect Y/n!' Johannes warned, making Kaguya and Yuzuru stop in their tracks and stick together. Kaguya heard someone zooming past by, and seeing the purple blur running past ahead of them, she pushed Yuzuru away and used her lance to block the oncoming kick.

'H-heavy! The power being showcased is through the roof!' Kaguya described what it felt like to block an attack from Y/n right now. Her footing was uneven after trying to balance herself from being blown away by the force due to the unexpected spike in power. Before Y/n could follow up with chasing after her, Yuzuru had to use her chains to pull him up in the air. Obviously, Y/n resisted, but it gave enough time for Kaguya to regain balance and took the opportunity to charge at Y/n.

Looking at both sides, Y/n then mustered enough power and broke the chains with his free hand, dodging by going downwards at the last moment. He created ten daggers and threw them at Kaguya the moment he hit the ground. Although the trajectory was curved, the intent was obvious enough and Kaguya made quick work of them by using her lance to deflect them after moving backwards.

The moment Kaguya does so, Y/n's Reiryoku spiked and his fingers curled in a weird position. The moment Y/n made a pulling motion on his right arm, the lance was wrapped around in strings and thanks to the sheer power gap and the element of surprise, she was deprived of her weapon. Combusting fire from his palms, Y/n used that explosive force in order to speed up and fly past Kaguya who was under the impression she's his target.
