'Due to high blood pressure and grief, the patient had suffered a severe heart attack. Give him some time to recover and avoid giving him stress.'

This was the diagnosis that was given to Jakob as he was resting on the infirmary bed. "Next time... Please do not run off your mouth like that," Kaede reprimanded Haruka for her actions a while ago. "What the hell did I do wrong?! I am right! Y/n and Johannes' friends are useless! They don't even act upon what they could do to stop or at least bring justice to what happened to the boy!" Haruka exclaimed as they were outside the infirmary.

"Is violence the only thing you can think in your head? Hell, you jumped off the bat when you heard that you can bring back your parents in exchange of Shido's life!" Kaede pointed out as she held Haruka's shoulders with both her hands, her amber eyes filled with sorrow as she asked, "What is happening to you?!" in a concerned tone.

"There's nothing wrong with me. Is it really that wrong to be that selfish when none of it is going to matter in the end? Besides, I think Y/n is better off without that naive prick, so it wouldn't matter-" Haruka was then slapped again and she was pulled in by the shirt. "Enough. Whether you like it or not, we are not to do anything rash and stupid. Whatever vendetta you have against Shido is to be set aside, we have to attend to what our girls at the AST needs, especially with DEM involved," Kaede reinforced what was the priority right now and Haruka was placing her own priorities wrong.

"I guess you're right.." Haruka surrendered to Kaede's wishes with due respect. "Now, let's go, we have work to fill in since Mr. Amerhauser is gonna stay in recovery for a while," Kaede ordered as she and her subordinate then left. From the corners of the hallway, Shido had been listening to the two as he had just seemed to pass by. 'I can't say I blame her... To her, we've been acting too much of a pacifist that it angers her,' Shido remarked in his mind as he walked towards the training facility.

There he had met Kotori who was also listening with how she was near the door. "I take it that you have been listening to them, too, right?" she asked rhetorically and Shido answered, "I have. And she has made some good points, we haven't done anything ever since. We pale in comparison to what Y/n did for us. However, I don't approve that violence is the answer for everything."

"I wholeheartedly agree with you. However, the lack of action is due to us still under restriction. The higher ups involved wouldn't allow me to take action, justified as I am still under surveillance if I can maintain my sanity while I use Camael. You on the other hand, lack experience outside of the simulation dates I give you," Kotori remarked and Shido replied that he has experience, as he had sparred with Y/n when he went to Arubi Island.

"No, you're still half baked even if you can keep up with him. You may be able to keep up with him with spars, but I doubt Y/n treats it like a real fight since he doesn't want to hurt you badly. What you need is a real operation, and I doubt anyone would have something in mind right now," Kotori told Shido that he was still underprepared for the real thing.

"I guess you're right. But we can't just be living dead weights for him. That being said, I'll prepare until I'm deemed ready," Shido steeled his resolve and summoned Sandalphon. "I've got no right to whine right now, especially with how much weight he's pulling for us," he justified as to why he needs to get stronger and better. Kotori chuckled and partially unleashed some of her ability as she readied her halberd
