The Snake King Ch 6 Pt 8/9

(An: two parts in one day? I felt bad that I had posted two parts twice in one week so there's the part that was surposed to be today)

*your pov*

"I found the little runt." You told them. "He did go into the arcade, but he just came out and ran into that alley." you said looking up from your phone, pointing to an alley.

You ran into the alley, with the other ninja close behind.

"Here are his footprints, but they end." You said, stopping where Lloyds footprints end. "Wait, there's tire tracks. They lead this way." you said, pointing in the direction of the tire tracks.

"Something tells me we're going for a ride." Kai said, "Come on, guys." He said, running off, you and the others following.

He pulled out the Fire Sword, and turned it into his bike. Jay, Zane, and Cole doing the same, you rode with Cole, like you normally did.

It wasn't hard for you to follow the tracks that were long gone from hours of sand, because you used your elemental power to enhance your vision, but the others struggled a bit more.

You were looking out the window from your seat, when Cole interrupted your thoughts.

"What is that place?" he asked, using the coms to ask the others.

"It looks like snake city." Jay replied.

"Let's get a closer look." Kai said, before zooming off.

"We shouldn't go right up to the front door, Kai." you said, "we can stop there." You said, pointing to a spot near the city, but far enough away that the four of you wouldn't be seen. "And, Jay. You meet us up there." You told him, pointing to the roof of one of the buildings.

"Ok." He said.

Once you got to the roof, you found Jay waiting. You walked over to the ledge of the roof, and looked over.

There were two guards walking back and forth.

"What are you doing?" Cole asked, but instead of repealing, you jumped off the roof.

"Y/n?!" he whisper-yelled, and ran over to the ledge. He looked off, to find you were standing on a snake statue.

"Come on." You said, waving your arm and jumped into a hiding spot.

The others quickly followed, and hid with you as you watched.

"It appears Pythor has successfully united all the tribes." Zane said, talking about the mix of snakes that were gathered in the city centre.

"I know we ruined their last get-together," Cole started. But that's no reason to not get an invitation. My feelings are hurt." To which you rolled your eyes.

"There's Lloyd." Kai said, pointing to a cage with a small person in it. That has to be him.

"Whoa. look at who they worship." Jay said. You followed his gaze to a large statue.

"Please tell me that's not the snake Pythors trying to bring back." you said.

"I believe it is. That is the Great Devourer." Zane said.

"All the more reason to get Lloyd out of here." Kai said. (I'm sorry for interrupting, but I just need to say, I love Kai and Lloyds bond)

"This comes to an end here and now." you said, grabbing your kusarigama. You ran out with the boys, but were quickly thrown down by a cage.

You held your Kusarigama tight, but the others all dropped their weapons.

All the snakes went silent, and looked over to the five of you.
