Chapter 1 Rise of the Snacks Part 2/4

“Two and a half.” Lloyd said, flailing his arms and legs around.

“You just made me your nemesis!” Lloyd yelled, from the Tod Baby sign. “Mark my you’ll pay for this!” 

“Should we take him back to his brooding school?” Y/n asked, as Zane bought some candy and offered everyone some, but Y/n didn’t take any.

“Naw, I think he can stay here for a bit.” Jay said

“Next time, try paying for your candy.” Cole said.

“Crime doesn't pay muchacho.” Kai started. “You can take that to the bank.”

“Mm, cotton candy.” Jay said, as Lloyd grunted in frustration.

As Kai jumped up on Flame, he kicked his saddle bag, and a scroll fell out. Zane got down and picked it up and handed it to Kai.

“Huh? I don’t remember putting this in here.” Kai said, taking the scroll.

“That’s Sensei’s bag, you must have accidentally taken it in the rush.” Zane explained.

“What is it?” Jay asked.

“It’s a scroll, nimwad.” Y/n said.

“I know it’s a scroll.” Jay said cockley. “But what does it say? It’s written in chicken scratch.”

“That’s not ‘ChIcKeN sCrAtCh,’ it’s…” Y/n started.

“The ancient language of our ancestors.” Zane finished her sentence for her.

“Can one of you read it?” Kai asked.

“Well, I can try.” Zane said. “This means ‘prophecy.’”

“Prophecy?” Jay asked.

“It means it tells the future.” Kai said, and Jay got another slap on the back of the head from Y/n.

“Course. Ha ha! I knew that.” Jay said.

“One ninja will rise above the others, and become the Green Ninja, the ninja destined to defeat the Dark Lord.” Zane continued, but was interrupted by Jay again.

“Oh, look, a picture!” Jay said.

“Dark Lord?” Hold on. You think they mean Lord Garmadon?” Cole said, from atop Rocky.

“Wait a minute, is that us?” Kai asked, pointing to the picture. “Is anyone else thinking what I'm thinking?”

“Like how good I’m going to look in green?” Jay asked.

Ha! Isn’t it obvious I’m gonna be the green ninja?” Kai said.

“No” Y/n said under her breath.

“The colour obviously suits me.” Jay commented.

“Technically, I’m the best.” Zane chimed in.

“Everyone, stop it!” Cole yelled, and hopped off Rocky. “Remember why sensei brought us together in the first place, we’re a team.”

“Exactly.” Y/n said. “We probably weren’t meant to see this.”

“And probably for good reason.” Cole chimed back in, taking the scroll from Kai. “Come on, let's get back home, we have training to do.”

“It’s about time I added some finesse to my routine.” Jay said, hopping on Wisp.

“Well, I could use some exercise.” Zane added, grabbing his rains.

“Yeah, I’ve gotta work on some new moves.” Cole said, before helping Y/n on Rocky and flying off…

This was a shorter part, but I promise the next part will be longer. I like to add some variety into my parts, when it comes to length.
