chapter 3 Snakebit Part 1/4

*y/n pov*

You were getting a cup of c/t, when you heard someone banging a loud gong. You headed down the hall, holding your one hand to your ear, the other holding you c/t.

“Evil doesn't sleep, and neither should you.” you heard Sensei Wu yelling from the boys room. “In order to unlock your full potential, you must greet each day as an opportunity.”

 You stood in the doorway, watching as the ninja grumbled out of bed, Sensei Wu still banging to gong.

“Okay, okay, we’re up.” Kai growned. “But if you want us to reach our full potential, shouldn't we at least get a full night of rest?” he grumbled as he walked over to the blinds to open them, but instead of opening, they just fell right off, making you snicker.

“You call that rest?” Cole asked, cracking his back. “I think my back has more lumps than the mattress.”

“We were up so late,” Jay started, getting his toothbrush out, and putting ‘water’ on it.

“Yeah, I could hear you from down the hall.” you said, now leaning against the doorframe, crossing your arms, still holding your c/t.

“We were talking about how cool it is to have a new headquarters, that we lost track of time.” Jay continued. “Since the Serpentine burned the monastery, I’m just glad we have a roof over our heads… Ack!” Jay said, putting the toothbrush in his mouth, but quickly spitting out the combination of toothpaste and dust into the sink.

“What is our lesson for today, Sensei?” Zane asked, doing some funny stretches. “Mastering the strike of the scorpion? Or perhaps th4e grace of a…” Zane started, but fell as the floor broke in, underneath him.

“Well, what do you think they should do, Y/n?” Sensei Wu asked, he had already told you, he was going to make them clean. 

The ninja all looked at you, excitement plastering to their faces. “I think they should do some chores.” you said, with a cheeky smirk.

“Okay, sensei.” Kai started. “What are we really doing?” He asked, giving you a cocky look.

“As Y/n said, chores.” Sensei Wu said.

“What?!” they all said.

“Your putting today's lesson in Y/n’s hands?” Kai said, shocked.

“Ninja fight, Sensei. They don’t clean.” Cole protested.

“Oh? They don’t?” You started, as you frowned. “Who cleans up after dinner? Who does the laundry? Know what? You're right, I don’t see any ninja in that room, that clean.” you said, before you left the room. You felt just as ticked off, as they looked confused. 

“What?” Jay asked, but you didn’t care, you just walked off, to see what Nya was up to.

After about five minutes of ranting to Nya, Sensei Wu walked up to you two.

“y/n, I’m sorry for what the ninja said. But that is besides the point. Would you two like to come with me to get some supplies?” Sensei wu asked.

You and Nya agreed and started for a nearby town.

After a little bit of browsing, you pulled Sensei Wu aside.

“Sensei? Can I ask you something?” you asked Wu.

“Yes, of course Y/n.” wu started. “Nya, we’ll be right back.” Sensei Wu said. “What is it?” He asked, as he walked with you.

“Umm, I was just thinking about me and the other Elemental Masters. And I was wondering, when do you think you will tell the Ninja?” you asked.

“You can tell them whenever you feel it is right, but I  don’t know when I will tell them about the other Elemental master.” Wu explained. “Now we must get back to Nya.”

When you, Sensei Wu, and Nya got back, you all looked around for the ninja, just to find them playing video games.

“What took you so long?” Kai asked you, giving you all a smug look.

“Wow,” Nya started, “this place looks amazing.”

“You four clean up well,” you say, crossing your arms, and giving them an approving look.

“You did all this?” Nya asked.

“Ninja don’t just fight, Nya. We also clean.” Cole said, talking to Nya, but looking at you, and you gave him a simple nod.

“You have exceeded my expectations.” Sensei Wu said, “but can you keep it up?”  he asked, as you and Nya walked over to the window, to see Jay’s parents pulling up outside.

“Looks like we’re about to get some visitors.” Nya said.

“And loud ones.” you said, looking at Jay.

“Aw, it’s my parents.” Jay started. “Please, just if they start yappin’, don’t get them going, alright? They don’t know when to quick. And if you start talking then they’ll start talking, and suddenly half the day is gone.” Jay said, but was interrupted by Kai.

“We Get It! They talk a lot,” Kai siad. “The cherry doesn’t fall far from its blossom.” he then mumbled under his breath.

You all quickly rushed outside to meet Jay’s parents.
