The Green Ninja Ch 11 Pt 1

You, Cole, Zane, and Jay were training on the deck, during the night, but something seemed off? Wait, where's Kai? Probably sleeping.

That's what you told yourself, trying not to think any harder on it.

Zane had just taken out the last of the training dummies, when Nya came outside to watch.

She turned on a bright light, turning to face it towards the four of you.

"Good training."She complimented, before turning to specifically address the boys. " Your powers are getting stronger. But, where's Kai?" she asked, looking around.

You heard a rather loud thud coming from Sensei Wu's chambers, and you guessed he was in there, but why?

"Come on." Jay said, "Let's go see what he's up to."

He quietly ran over to the door, and you all snuck inside to find Kai, in the Green Ninja Ge.

"Fiya!" Kai yelled, while raising his arms in the air. "Unlock fire! Uh, fire go! Shoot flames!" He said, probably expecting something to happen, but nope. "Aw, come on. Everyone else can do it. So can you"

'I can't' You thought, frowning and crossing your arms.

"BRING HEAT!" This time he did a backflip, before quickly doing one handed pushups. He then got up and pointed at himself in the mirror.

The boys started to laugh, and clap. And to be honest, you did too.

"Very nice. Perhaps if you tried the phrase 'Fire Dork' maybe it might work." Cole mocked.

"How long have you all been watching?" Kai asked, frantically.

"Long enough." you said, while trying not to laugh.

"The Green Ninja suit, that's awesome." Jay exclaimed, pointing at Kai, who just stood there, humiliated.

"Well, I was looking for some kind of clue from Sensei and then I found this." Kai explained, gesturing to the suit.

"But you know only he who is foretold to face Lord Garmadon is destined to be the Green Ninja, and only he should wear the Green Ninja outfit." Zane said, still in a mocking tone.

"Or she." You said, placing your hand on Zane's shoulder.

"I know, I know." Kai said, looking down while he walked over to the window. "But I thought if I just tried it on, it might help me see my true potential. It's not fair that you guys have unlocked your cool powers and I still haven't." He told you, while you and the others went and stood beside him.

"Hey. I still haven't." You told him, "You're not the only one."

"But you-that's different." He stumbled over his words, before looking down again.

"It's not really. Yeah, I don't have a golden weapon, but who says I don't have a true potential to unlock still." You explained to him, and he looked up at you. You could not completely read his expression. But you were never good at that.

"Besides, Sensei's gone, and we don't know when he's coming back." almost the second the words left his mouth, you heard a door open.

"Hello? I'm home." Sensei Wu's voice said, from just outside the door.

"Sensei!" You and the others yelled in unison, before running to see Sensei Wu for the first time in weeks.

"Ah. It's so good to be home." Sensei said from where he stood beside Nya.
