Chapter 10 The Royal Blacksmiths

(AN: I just want to say that at the beginning of every chapter I think I'll put a Ninjago meme because why not :))

You, Nya, Cole, Jay, Kai, and Zane were all standing in the Bridge looking at a hologram of the first Fangblade that the Serpentine had gotten.

"They got the first one, but there are still three more." Nya explained.

"And we only need one to stop Pythor." You said, crossing your arms.

"They have a map and we don't," Nya continued. "So the question remains, how are we gonna find them first?"

"I still can't get over the fact that you were the Mysterious Samurai." Jay said, walking in between you and Nya. "Is anyone else blown away like I am?"

"We're over that." Kai told Jay, "Can we move on?"

"Owp oop oop ooo." Jay said, putting his hand in Kai's face. "Someone's feeling a little hot under the collar."

"It appears his impatience is because he has not found his inner peace." Zane said, stepping in front of Kai, "and unlocked his true potential, like you and I have, Jay."

"Great observation, mr. Roboto, but Cole hasn't found it either." Kai said, looking around Zane to look at Cole.

You held in a sigh as you tensed up. This was something that had started happening lately, and you couldn't stop it.

But all you wanted to do was just tell them. But you thought about what Sensei Wu had told you, they weren't ready to know there were others.

"I've got it!" Cole yelled. You looked at him in surprise.

"You've unlocked it?" Kai asked, putting your thoughts into words. "Why Am I The Only One!?" Kai yelled.

To be honest, you were a little disappointed in them, Sensei Wu had told all five of you that you would all unlock a true potential, not just the one who wielded the Golden Weapons.

"No, I figured out where I recognize the Fangblade from." Cole explained.

He looked over at you, and you raised an eyebrow at him.

"I have a picture of it," he told you, before running out of the Bridge.

"Oh, ha ha, is that it? Heh." Kai said. You could hear the embarrassment in his voice.

"I got it." Cole said, walking back over to you, with a small book.

You opened it and looked at the first picture, and instantly recognized it.

"The Blade Cup?!" You asked, looking from the picture to Cole.

Jay grabbed the picture to look at it. "That's it!" He stated the obvious.

"Back where we grew up, there's this big competition," Cole started. "Where every year the winner gets The Blade Cup."

"Your dad's won it multiple times, right?" You asked.

"Yeah."

"You never told us your dad was an accomplished athlete." Zane said, looking at the picture that Jay was holding. "What sport?"

"Oh. he's a, uh- A Blacksmith." Cole said, you could hear a bit of shame lacing in his voice.

"Nothing wrong with that. My father was a blacksmith, too." Kai told him. "But i've never heard of a competition-."

"That's because he's not a 'blacksmith' blacksmith." Cole told him, the shame still lingering. "He's a Royal Blacksmith." He said, turning the page in the book.
