Rise of the Great Devourer Ch 15 Pt 2

You were all on the deck, talking while you waited for Lloyd to get back with all the weapons.

Sensei was sitting on his seat in the Samurai X suit, Nya in the operator's seat, Kia and Zane on their left, you Cole and Jay on their right.

"If Pythor returns the Fangblades to the City of Ouroboros, he'll awaken the Great Devourer." sensei Wu said.

"Well, we're not gonna let that happen." Nay protested, turning to face Lloyd who had just thrown the weapons briefcase down the stairs from the Bridge.

"Oh, what about me?" Lloyd asked, picking up the briefcase with struggle.

"We need someone to stay with the Boughty." Kai explained to him.

"But did you see me kick him in the face? I'm an asset." Lloyd started, kicking the air. "A kick butt asset, and face." He said.

"Patience, kid. You're too important now that you're the chosen one." Kia said, surprising you. Kia, patience? Not possible.

"Patience?" Sense Wu asked, voicing your thoughts. "The student has become the teacher."

"Well, why don't we play a little catch up." Jay suggested, picking up his nunchucks.

"That's my favorite game." Cole said, following Jay, and picking up his scythe.

"Oh really?" You asked, whispering into his ear, as you took your kusarigama from the briefcase.

In the corner of your eye, you saw him blushing a bit.

"Time to go, Lovebirds." Kai said, walking past the two of you to the side of the Boughty before jumping off, Jay and Zane following close behind.

Ignoring them, Cole grabbed your hand, pulling you to the side.

"Ready?" He asked, and you nodded. He pulled you close, and jumped.

You squeezed your eyes shut, waiting for Cole to turn his scythe into his scythe mobile.

It didn't take long, before the scythe mobile landed on the ground, and the seven of you were off.

You used your elemental power to try and find Pythor, but you couldn't from where you were on the ground.

"Jay, can you see anything?" You asked through the comms.

"Yeah. I've got him in my sights." He responded. "They're on the road." He explained, as Cole turned onto the road to follow them.

All of a sudden, the bus turned into one of the Venomari snake vehicles.

"Is that a truck?" Kai asked, as he too pulled onto the road.

"That is mo truck. It is a moving fortress." Sensei Wu explained.

Cole tried to get close to the back of the thing, but its tail tried to swat you away, almost hitting the two of you multiple times.

"Ahg!" Cole exclaimed.

"Watch out!" Kai said,

"Really?!" You yelled sarcastically back. Cole finally got out of the way of the whippy tail, and Kai continued.

"How are we supposed to get close to that thing?" He asked, right after he said it, two ball-like things poked out of the side of the fortress, and started shooting at Jay, Nya and Sensei Wu.

It was like they were coming out of thin air. Somehow there were now two snake bikes chasing the four of you on the road.

"Bring it on." Kai said, taking out his normal sword, and popping the tyer of the bike on his left.
