Once Bitten, Twice Shy Ch 9

(A/n. I just want to mention that I have decided the Thanksgiving special is no longer canon for this story. And be warned there are a lot of time skips in this chapter.)

*your pov*

You slowly blinked your eyes open, and rolled over into your back.

You looked to your side where Cole was sleeping.

‘Why was Cole in-wait’ you thought, but soon remembered you asking him to stay last night.

You stared at the ceiling, thinking of the night sky, and how beautiful it was. Then you thought of Cole. What was he doing up so late? You shook off any thoughts you had, then got out of bed.

You quickly changed, and headed for the Bridge where you could make a cup of c/t.

*Time skip to a little later*

You were all sitting at a table Bya had set up for a presentation she wanted to give you and the other ninja.

Beside you, there was something lage resting under a sheet. Nya pulled the sheet away revealing a Fangpyre skeleton.

“Some of the villagers unearthed the remains of this Fangpyre a few miles away.” she explained. “It predates the golden age, and must be hundreds of years old.

“Although the venom in the fangs of the Fangpyre genetically mutate human cells into reptilian,” she said, as she pointed a laser at the large set of fangs. “I’ve learned there could be a way to stop the effects without having to create an antivenin.

“If one is able to wildly raise their heart rate,” Nya explained, although you noticed her face was starting to go a little red, and it was as if she couldn't stop smiling.

“Hypothetically it could reverse the venom’s effects. Resulting in… diminished, uh-excuse me, is someone wearing perfume?” Nya asked. “I’m severely allergic to perfume.”

Everyone looked over at you, but you frowned and shook your head telling them no.

“Heh, you told me it was men’s cologne.” Jay whispered over to Kai, who looked as if he was trying to write on his foot because of the way he was sitting.

“Meh, I get them mixed up.” Kai said, sitting up straight.

Everyone started to laugh at Jay, even you chuckled, but tried to hide it with your hand.

“Well, looks like class is over.” Cole said, closing his book, and standing up. “Time to start stomping some serpentine before they find any Fangblades.” He said, before starting to walk out.

You stood up, and looked over at Nya, while the boys started to bicker about stomping Serpentine.

“Hey, you alright?” You asked, looking at Nya. you knew how bad allergies could get because of someone not being careful. 

Y/b had ended up in the hospital once because his friend's mom didn’t properly put peanut butter away before Y/b came over.

“Ya, I’m fine. But you go stomp Serpentine with your boyfriend.” she said, nudging you.

You could feel your face go red at the comment. “He’s not my boyfriend.” you told her, trying to get your blushing to calm down, but failing.

“Oh really. Then what was he doing in your bed this morning?” She asked, raising an eyebrow at you.

You blushed even harder, if that were possible, and looked away.
