Jean looks over at the comfort pile of pillows Teddi is lying in. He wasn't able to apparate home, nor drive home, so the only reasonable thing to do, was to let him lie on her couch, until he wakes up the next morning, somewhat sober.
Victorie hasn't answered her owl yet, though she hopes she won't be too mad at the journey her husband made. Slowly she walks past him into the kitchen to make herself something to eat before she has to work. Not even the sound of the coffee machine lets him wake up. So she decides to write him a note as to what happened, and that he can make himself feel at home. She hasn't a problem with him staying at her flat alone at all. She trusts him fully, because she fully well knows that he would trust her too. They are family and that bond they all share is not something to take granted.
When she closes the door behind her and steps into the cold morning air, she wishes she would have stayed in bed. The day will be a long one and she knows with the little sleep she had, she will have a hard time staying concentrated.
In the evening when she opens the door to her flat again, she finds it empty, except an answer letter from Victorie. She is relived to know she finally has her silence, though the company from last night was appreciated and helped her to focus on different things. She opens the fridge. No food inside. She sighs. Being an adult sucks. After thinking about what she shall eat, she decides against cooking. Ordering take out seems the logical solution. She is tired, the day was rough and her mind was clouded and occupied. She had a hard time following instructions today and she isn't in her best form lately.Something she isn't used to.
"Dear Diary,Gina is in fact really nice and fits perfectly into our group. She has a great humor and doesn't shy away from heated arguments and conversations. I like her. I can definitely see why Louis likes her. At first she was a bit shy in joining our group. Turns out we do have a reputation on being the cool ones. Not gonna lie, I love every bit of it. Little me could have never guessed that one day I am one of the cool kids. (Well that I am cool- yes, but the group of people I hang out with? Not so much. Must be my influence hehehe)
And as expected, the gossip inside the castle walls started to make it's rounds again. Since Louis was single again, every girl got her hopes up, they might spark his interest. As a Quidditch House Team member, as a great person overall and his good looks ( I know I know, you will be bored of me saying that, but Louis really got blessed. He could work as a model in no time. He doesn't even need to say anything, and he is hired. Best if he doesn't say anything, that might ruin his chances.) Since Louis brought Gina to our table at the Great Hall, today we sat at the Ravenclaw Table, every girl asks Gemma and me the same question: "Does Louis have a new girlfriend, and is it Gina?" Honestly, I don't know what to answer to that. It is not my right to define anything between these two. Gemma usually doesn't answer at all and lets it all up to me, like a typical Gemma does. Sean on the other side, rather quickly dismisses that. Maybe Louis has told him more about his feelings to Gina after the last incident. I just hope it doesn't end badly.
After lunch Fred asked me aside and I got an eyebrow wiggle and a nudge from George. Thinking back on it, I still have to giggle about it.
"What's up?"Fred scratches the back of his neck, looking a bit nervous. Why is he nervous? That doesn't mean anything good.
"Jade, would you do me a favour?"
"Depends on said favour. With you I can never be sure it isn't something dumb, dangerous or worse, would make me face expulsion."
He puts his hand over his chest, a look of betrayal forms on his face. "How can you think so wrongly of me?"
"Fred, let's be honest. It's you we are talking about. The best thing you could ask me is to help you with some homework. The worst thing would be, to paint McGonagalls ass a vivid Ravenclaw blue with a handprint."
His face lights up at the image of it. "The latter I wouldn't have asked, but I like your way of thinking beautiful." He leans against the wall. "And what would you consider as a something in the middle favour?"
I pull my textbooks closer to my chest and look up at him. "Mhm there is a huge variety I could choose from. Let's say cleaning the bathroom together or meeting up on the outside grounds of Hogwarts past curfew."
"So almost every date we had till know? I have the feeling you might have something against me?"
"Maybe I do. Considering I had a vast history on screaming at you." I try to pull a thoughtful face and pull my lips into a pout.
"God you look so cute, I could kiss you now." His ears turn red realizing what he just blurted out.
My heart starts to flutter. I meet his eyes. My voice is steady: "Then do."
Just for a moment it looks like this statement will fly into the open air and it was a moment like every other moment. Then he leans slowly down and places a gentle kiss on my lips. This isn't like any other kiss we shared before. This one feels different. This one feels safer, more personal than any kiss before. Just for a moment it slowed down time. When we part, we just stare at each other, a slight smile planted on our faces. The bell rang and I realized I will be late to potions class.
"I have to go. Tell me later what you need." I wave goodbye and start to run through the crowd. Until then it dawned on me, that we were in the middle of the entrance hall. I think I just made us official.
It's strange to think of us as something official. And yet good. The girls in my dormitory asked me if the rumours were true and I couldn't deny them any longer.
Gemma had a satisfied smile plastered on her face. Damn her.
Until next week probably everyone will know and I just hope that Kenneth keeps his mouth shut about the circumstances as to why it happened.
Yours, Jade."
