Everything hurts.
Everything.
Every bone in your body was aching for you to rest longer. Sleep for how long -- days? Weeks?
No.
Wake up.
With a sudden jolt, your body shot up, your breath raggedy with lingering memories of the previous day. Or was it three days? Like that man with the battle axe, Sentomaru said? How long were you knocked out?
The last thing you remembered was Kuma's paw hitting your head. Despite that, you didn't feel any pain there. Your body wasn't stinging with pain any longer, but it was sore, making it incredibly difficult for you to even move.
Where were you? It looked like a forest, one crowded with broken down ruins from centuries ago that you couldn't make out.
"Ah, you're awake!"
A voice. An unfamiliar one, at that.
Turning around, a strange lady stood proudly before you. She had long hair that flowed in the wind, and her sense of style radiated a carefree energy about her. Her lips upturned into a smile, and she approached you with caution.
"I know you--" She was in the middle of greeting you, until you brought your leg up, attempting to kick her before she could get too close. To your surprise, she stopped your attack with just her arm, blocking your leg from hitting her face. "Hey, hey. What happened to 'hello'? I'd even prefer a 'who are you' to that."
"Who are you?!" You asked right after, bringing your leg back down and to your side. She was strong, you'd give her that. It took little to no effort for her to block your kick. "Where am I?! Shit, Luffy! I need to get back!"
"Woah, woah! You're still injured!" The woman tried to stop you, but didn't even have to after you tried to fly away, only to fall back down and faceplant into the ground. Your wings were too broken to carry you away. "Sheesh, what happened to you? That was harsh."
Lifting yourself off the ground, your limbs trembled, and your wings stung. You couldn't get anywhere like this. Not without a sliver of treatment, at least. Your eyes landed back on the woman behind you, taking in your fatigue with a look of pity on her face.
