"I'm not struck as confused or curious by that notion, because the answer to that unfamiliar hatred you feel is pretty obvious. The World Government is the mortal enemy of the Seraphines. Your ancestors were enslaved by them centuries ago, sentenced to many horrible things by their hands. I wouldn't exactly be shocked if that hatred was so strong that it became a permanent trait harbored by your race , passed down through generations."
