After quite a handful of convincing, you and Luffy were able to get Shirahoshi out of the palace, with the help of her friendly shark, Megalo. She was stuffed in his mouth, while you and your captain were riding atop of his back.
Shirahoshi explained that she had always wanted to go to a place called the 'Forest of the Sea'. She was more willing to leave the palace after Vander Decken launched several more attacks on her room, trusting that the two of you would keep her safe.
You swore you caught a glimpse of Brook and a Fishman guard on his shoulder before abandoning the palace, and whatever other problems were occurring within it. You were quite hesitant to leave the friends you came with inside the palace, but you knew they'd be alright, especially after a few reassuring words from Luffy.
Megalo brought the three of you to the regular part of the island, and flew through the air with the help of a bubble floatie around his fin. While Shirahoshi was taking in the sights, you and Luffy were discussing your next steps on getting to the Forest of the Sea.
"Princess," You peered over the side of Megalo, and your eyes successfully met with Shirahoshi's. She was teary-eyed, still fearful of being out of her room. "You should be okay now. You can come out of his mouth, if you're comfortable."
"T--Thank you, but I prefer to stay inside..." Shirahoshi stammered, her hands grabbing tightly onto the outer corners of Megalo's mouth. "Ah... My heart is racing! I'm doing something really bad..."
"How can it be bad? You're just going outside," Luffy questioned, bringing his arm up to rest it on your shoulder. "Sheesh, you're weird!"
You leaned back a bit, your eyes drinking in all the sights surrounding you. "I have to say, Fishman Island looks very beautiful from up here! I'd also be upset if I lived in such a place, but wasn't able to see it much."
"That's what I'm trying to say! I'd go crazy if I was locked up in a room for 10 years!" Your captain stated.
Shirahoshi, meanwhile, had bright glints in her eyes that showed just how happy she was. "Is this... what they call an adventure?!"
I've had one too many adventures...
"Yeah! If your heart is racing, then it's an adventure!" Luffy exclaimed, occasionally laughing at Shirahoshi's remarks. "[Name], this reminds me of when you got excited just from seeing grass! That was funny!"
