MELANCHOLY KALEIDOSCOPE

Through the lens of my mind, the colors twist,
A swirl of sadness, where joy once kissed.
Each turn of the glass, a new design,
Yet every fragment feels partly mine.

Shades of blue, so deep, so still,
Mix with reds of passion, gone cold with chill.
Greens of hope fade into gray,
As yellow suns dissolve away.

I hold this kaleidoscope close to my eyes,
Each shift in pattern, a new disguise.
Memories splinter, reflect, and refract,
Leaving me tangled in all I've lacked.

There's beauty here, but it's bittersweet,
In the chaos of colors that never meet.
A thousand pieces, none quite whole,
Fragmented echoes of a restless soul.

But even in sorrow, the light still bends,
Creating new forms from shattered ends.
And though melancholy paints the skies,
In the turning glass, something bright still lies.

For life is a kaleidoscope, spinning slow,
Where light and shadow endlessly flow.
And in its patterns, I sometimes see,
The fleeting glimpse of what could be.
