Footsteps fade, yet the tracks remain,
Carved in dust, in earth, in rain.
Each mark a story, each line a thread,
Of places traveled, of words unsaid. The tracks stretch wide across the years,
Through deserts of doubt, through valleys of fears.
Some are steady, worn deep in the ground,
Others are crooked, where I've turned around.I've followed some blindly, led by a trace,
Chasing the echoes of someone else's pace.
But the tracks that are mine, though scattered and bent,
Carry the weight of each moment I've spent. Some days, they're light, like a dance on the breeze,
Others, they're heavy, like roots of old trees.
I see where I stumbled, where I lost my way,
But the tracks keep moving, they never stay. For life is a journey, a path we all take,
With tracks to remember, and tracks we remake.
And though I can't see where the next turn will be,
I trust in the steps that are leading me.
