The way that I'm drawn to you, tide after tide?
Like a leaf in the wind, like a star in the night,
I'm pulled to your orbit, to your soft, gentle light.
What if I told you my heart skips a beat,
At the sound of your footsteps, your presence so sweet?
That I long for your touch, though I'm trying to stay,
Composed in my silence, yet I'm slipping away.
I've fallen for moments we haven't yet had,
For laughter and tears, the good and the bad.
For the way that you see me, for all that you are,
In this world so vast, you're my guiding star.
But what if I told you, and what would you say?
Would you turn toward me, or slowly away?
Still, I hold on to hope, in this quiet descent,
For falling feels right, with you, it's meant.
