Daydream

In the soft glow of morning, where sunlight spills wide,
My thoughts take to flight, on a whimsical ride.
I drift through the echoes of what could have been,
In the gentle embrace of a daydream's warm skin.

Clouds morph to castles, as my mind starts to weave,
A tapestry vibrant, where I dare to believe.
I dance with the shadows of laughter and light,
In a world built of whispers, all shimmering bright.

With each fleeting moment, reality fades,
As the colors of longing and hope serenade.
I wander through fields of endless delight,
Where wishes take form in the softness of night.

There are places uncharted, adventures untold,
Where dreams weave their magic, and hearts become bold.
I meet all the heroes, the lovers, the wise,
In the canvas of daydreams, where nothing denies.

Yet as daylight fades, and the world calls me back,
I hold tight to the fragments, the joy in the lack.
For daydreams are portals to a life yet to be,
A glimpse into magic, a chance to be free.

So here in this moment, I'll let my heart soar,
In the cradle of daydreams, forever explore.
For within every thought, every wish I let roam,
I find pieces of myself, in this world I call home.
