Road

The road stretches out, winding and long,
A ribbon of earth where I feel I belong.
It curves through the valleys, climbs over the hills,
Carrying whispers of hope, carrying thrills.

Each step on this road, though rough or smooth,
Is a part of the journey, a path I must choose.
The dust of my past lingers in the air,
But the horizon ahead tells me not to despair.

For every road leads somewhere unknown,
A destination that feels like home.
The bumps and the cracks, the forks I must face,
Are all part of this winding race.

I've seen the sunsets burn crimson and gold,
Felt the cold winds as the nights unfold.
But even when darkness covers the way,
I know that each dawn brings a brand new day.

The road may be lonely, the miles may be long,
But there's strength in the journey, in staying strong.
For it's not where I end, but the steps I take,
The lessons I learn, the choices I make.

So I'll keep walking, come rain or shine,
On this road that is yours, on this road that is mine.
For every twist, every turn, every stone I find,
Leads me closer to knowing this heart of mine.
