omori oneshots, preferences and hcs

Sunny

- Personally I think Sunny would play the keyboard 

- is always placed beside drums (at the back) on stages specifically because he doesn't want anyone looking at him 

- Sunny would probably be that person that takes practice super seriously;

- Doesn't talk unless he has to, just sits there and plays 

BAD HABBIT:  Hes always for some reason playing in the wrong key 

Basil

- Bass.

- Looks fucking cool, sounds amazing and easy to cover up mistakes since other instruments overpower bass

- Even though Basil has been friends with the rest of the band for years, hes still nervous around them; 

- I dont know why but I think he gets super nervous when everyone is setting up and he has to fumble around with the amp cables; 

- Scared of being made fun of for not knowing what hes doing even though he does know, hes just overthinking 

- Always working with Kel on timing after practice 

BAD HABBIT:  Tries tuning his bass by ear which often results in him sounding wrong throughout the song(s). Aubrey helps him with a tuning app on her phone. 

Hero

- Sue me, but Hero got vocals 

- Thinking about it logically; Basil and Sunny already picked their instruments out and Hero was mediocre at electric guitar and drums so he went for vocals

- At first Hero was nervous, being (arguably) the main focus point on the stage was a big deal 

- After a while Hero grew more confident, and that confidence only rose with Basils constant reassurance! 

- Leaves Aubrey with lyric-writing 

BAD HABBIT:  Always warms up his voice when other members of the band are trying to tune their instruments, ultimately ending in a huge argument between Hero and Aubrey. 

Aubrey

- Electric guitar. 

- Shes so good at guitar, and the sound of it is just 😫

- SOMETIMES steals Heros spotlight on stage 

- Helps Basil with tuning his bass if something goes wrong (which it does most of the time) 

- Surprisingly not very bossy: some electric guitarists are VERY bossy of others in the band (personal experience lmao) 

- Writes lyrics for all of their songs by turning her feeling into words

- Hero checks over the lyrics and is more than most of the time super satisfied by them

BAD HABBIT:   Calls Basils bass irrelevant since you cant hear him play over her loud-ass guitar (as a joke and for real); sometimes this can escalate into a bigger argument that Kel was to break up by playing a sick drum groove 

Kel

- DRUMS. DRUMS. DRUMS. DRUMS.

- anyone who plays drums ily you people are hot and cool 

- Decided to play drums because when hes frustrated he can just pound away on his drum kit and feel better almost immediately 

- Very aggressive type of drummer: cant play simple beats( yk how a guitarist has riffs, wtf is that called for a drummer?-) and always has to make them more complicated than they were originally going to be

- Adds his own twists onto songs without consulting anyone before hand; giving Basil and Hero a nice surprise to look forward to each time they do a song for the first time 

- Purposefully beats the bass drum when Aubrey tries to talk to him

BAD HABBIT:  Doesn't take practice too seriously; fooling around playing the incorrect things, annoying other band members, not going over songs at home. His horsing around at practice has caused Sunny to have a slight dislike towards Kel in band. Outside of band Sunnys totally chill, in band he gets annoyed by Kels behaviour and just sighs. 

3/4 months holy fuck. also i never forgot abt this book; id think about it a few times a day cuz like this used to be my passion but im moving on slowly yk. still love omori but i got other shit to deal with now!!! ill still update from time to time (maybe once every 2 weeks?) but defo not as frequently as i used to. HOPE I IMPROVED AT LEAST A BIT!!!!!

dont know if it was obvious but im a bassist and i love bass i fucking meat ride bass
