how they would react to the 'truth'

all imma say is ifykyk (no sunny, Mari or basil for this cuz....yk) (this is how I think they would react, you might think differently)

BIG SPOILERS, IF YOU HAVENT WATCHED/PLAYED OMORI SKIP THIS :)

Hero

-Would definitely be in denial, saying that it was probably a mistake (technically it was but not the tree part...)

-Couldn't help but see Sunny in a different way afterwards (further explanation at the end of the chapter)

-Really disturbed, while Sunny was talking about it he was so unnerved he couldn't breathe properly and had to hold himself up with Basil's hospital bed

-Definitely would forgive Sunny and Basil just not any time soon, but maybe in the future?

-Took him a few days to properly process and he ignored everyone during that time, even Kel and his parents

Kel

-Tries to laugh it off and stay positive but lets be fr, would be pretty hard to accept 

-He decided to hear Sunny out before judging and putting his feelings first 

-Started to connect the dots as to why Sunny didn't seem all that upset just disturbed 

-When Sunny was telling him about the little details like the tree and rope, he started to cringe

-It was hard for Kel to think of that day again but to get over Mari he had to face it head on

-I think he would forgive Sunny fairly quickly, but would definitely be a bit disturbed by him

Aubrey

-Doesn't forgive Sunny

-Very spiteful to both him and Basil

-Bullies Basil even more

-Probably broke it off with her gang because of how she feels

-Jealous of Kel's ability to move on so quickly 

-After a year or two she would snap out of that mindset suddenly and start to understand what happened and why it happened

-Low chance she would apologise to Basil but would think about it often

-Sad that Sunny moved away and never got the chance to say a positive last word to him

-Shocked that anyone would buy Sunny's old house especially after what happened in the garden. 

-From time to time would put on her headphones and listen to a mixtape that the whole group; even though phones existed and stuff, a cassette was more nostalgic

-Often times she would go to old hangout spots and listen to the mixtape while reminiscing about the good times. 

-shes the definition of the song "its over, isn't it?" from Steven universe 

EXPLANATION FROM EARLIER ABT THE HERO THING; so lets say before he knew about it, sunny seemed like a quiet person and his face was jut very soft. but after knowing the truth his face looked physically different because of the fact he killed Mari. 

idk if its just me but irl I have this thing where when I used to be friends with someone their face would be friendly but afterwards when something goes wrong they start to physically look and act different than they used to idk what its called or if its just me but yk sorry if its rushed I got a quick spike of motivation and I didnt know what else to do besides the truth
