"Stay with her and don't leave her fucking side"

"Ric! This is madness, you need us in Italy more"

"Italy is and will always be mine. Until she recovers and makes a proper decision I will not let her safety be compromised" Ricardo leaves no room for debate and exits the hospital.

~3 Days Later~

Taking a nap for 8 hours seems fine, taking a nap for 3 days sounds impossible, yet Kaitlyn pulled through all 72 hours and waking up was like another day for her, yet the difference was she was in a hospital room which she detested and wired onto 2 machines.

"Ric?" She covers herself from becoming blind while trying to reach for anyone around her,

"It's papi darling" Antonio sweetly talks walking to her side and holding her reached-out arm,

"Papi?" she questions again and slowly uncovers herself to look at the people around her, "If you're here where is A-"

"He's in safe hands back at the main house, worry about yourself child" he scolds and hugs her.

"Good morning- rather Good evening Mrs. Garcia" she starts, "Well, I can discharge you today but I must see you in 3 days' time and then after once a week just to make sure everything is clear" She smiles handing over the discharge documents to Antonio,

"Thank you, Doctor"

"Y-yes... Thanks, Doc" Kaitlyn says after a small pause from collecting her thoughts, "Is someone going to-" She held her hands referring to the tubes connected to her and just then the nurse walked in realising her from the clutches of medical care —with care.

"Marcus? Giovani?" She asks surprised to see them standing outside her assigned room,

"Umm... Yes... Ric wanted us... here" he uncomfortably says knowing well that Kaitlyn hated it when she was being looked after,

"This man" she grumbles and takes her phone out of her bag. "Let's go home" she orders and slowly hides behind her father's broad shoulder when the paparazzi comes into view scattered in front of the hospital.

"Deshazte de ellos, ahora" _Get rid of them, now!_ he orders and lets their men run forward clearing a path directly to the vehicle. Giovani stood in the front and the rest of her men covered her completely with Marcus leading the group. Taking a deep breath Kaitlyn nodded to move forward although the voices of people's worries could not be toned down.

"Mrs! How do you feel?"

"Where is Alessio?"

"Did your husband abandon you?"

Unable to take the million others who came after them, she covered her ears and ducked her head more while running with the rest of them to the vehicle. Finally, after the walk of horror, she was inside, and the minute the door closed, the noise shut down as the driver drove behind the vehicle her father was in.

Her drive was silent. She didn't comment on the paparazzi with her driver like she normally does. She blankly sat in the back seat of the Rangerover, lost in her thoughts. A part of her remembered Ricardo and knew it was him there, and she had not dreamt it. She wondered entirely why he didn't stay like he would've.

She took out her phone and searched her contacts for the one name she desired the most, 'Dearest Husband' the contact appeared and immediately a small smile came to her face giving a little highlight to her dull expression.

Yet her smile decayed as the call went unanswered— something Ricardo would never do. She fell into an endless train of thoughts overthinking the entire situation. Was he mad at me? Is he busy? Maybe he's in a meeting? Unanswered questions ultimately left her to fall asleep during the rest of the journey and she only woke when he father knocked on the window which she leaned against tired of her own consciousness.
