~Backstory for this 'episode/chapter'~

Long ago, when the first benders discovered how to use their powers, the first masters of each element came together to write a scroll—one with the secrets of their techniques.

Each of the four benders wrote about how they learned to bend from their element master. The fire benders learned from dragons, the water benders learned from the moon, the earth benders learned from badger moles, and the air benders learned from sky bison.

The four elements may seem very different but they are more similar than they appear. After the Avatar cycle began, the scroll was given to the Avatar on their 16th birthday when they were told they were the Avatar.

But after Avatar Roku perished, the scroll was lost and considered to be gone. Some people thought the scroll burned with Avatar Roku's village, others thought that Avatar Roku wouldn't be so naive as to leave it somewhere it could be destroyed when he knew he was getting too old to protect it.

Usually, when an Avatar is getting old they will pass the scroll on to the next nation in the cycle. After Avatar Kyoshi started getting old, she passed it on to the Fire Nation but no one knew if Avatar Roku had passed the scroll onto the Air Nomads.

And if he did, then no one has seen the scroll in over 100 years.

~With the Gaang~

Sokka, Luna, and Aang were all currently on Appa's back, flying. Sokka was on Appa's saddle making sure they were flying in the direction they needed to go while Luna was sitting with her eyes closed while Harmony and Momo sat on her lap as she meditated while bending water.

She found it therapeutic to meditate while bending, as it helped her connect more to her element and understand it better.

Aang however, was up pacing looking very panicked.

"Would you sit down?! If we hit a bump, you'll go flying off. What's bugging you anyway?" Sokka said annoyed with how Aang was pacing.

"It's what Avatar Roku said. I'm supposed to master all 4 elements before that comet arrives." Aang said in distress.

"Well, let's see. You pretty much-mastered airbending, and that only took you 112 years. I'm sure you can master 3 more elements by next summer." Sokka said with a carefree attitude.

"I haven't even started water bending, and we're still weeks away from the North Pole. What am I gonna do?!" Aang asked in an even more panicked tone than before.

"Aang, you have to calm down. Panicking isn't going to help you learn the elements." Luna said as she stopped meditating and gently grabbed his wrist from where she was sitting.

"You're right." Aang sighed, before taking a few deep breaths to calm himself.

"If you want, I can help get you started on water bending before we get to the North Pole." she offered as she drew patterns on his open palm that was still in her hand, knowing that it helped calm him down faster.

"You'd do that for me?" he asked, surprised. He glanced down at their hands, noticing that he was now much more calm than a few minutes ago. The light patterns on his hand tickled a little but still felt feather-light. It was comforting.

"Of course, I would," she said with a smile.

"We just need to find a natural water source first," she said as she scooted over to the edge of the saddle to see if she could see any water from where they were in the sky. Aang moved with her to see if he could find anything too.
