Five days later...

Five days passed, and Hoseok’s days were filled with Yoongi’s laughter, presence, and the quiet moments that had become precious. They’d shared endless conversations, and Hoseok found himself falling harder with each passing day. Yoongi had this magnetic charm, a way of making Hoseok feel valued, seen, and safe. Sitting in class, Hoseok couldn’t help but stare at Yoongi, who was sitting directly in front of him, body turned around so they could chat quietly without the professor noticing.

Hoseok’s gaze softened as he watched Yoongi laugh at something he’d just whispered. The light glinted off Yoongi’s mint-colored hair, which framed his face perfectly. His eyes held an alluring mix of intensity and mischief, and Hoseok admired the curve of Yoongi’s smile, the confident way he carried himself, and how his whole aura seemed to draw Hoseok in without even trying.

“Hey, what’s wrong?” Yoongi asked, a playful smile tugging at his lips, as he noticed Hoseok’s dazed expression.

“Oh—uh, nothing,” Hoseok stammered, cheeks flushing. He quickly looked down, feeling slightly embarrassed for getting so lost in Yoongi’s gaze.

Before Yoongi could prod further, they both heard their names called, snapping their attention to the front. The professor looked over the list of names, then glanced up and announced, “Yoongi and Hoseok, you’ll be working together on this project. It’s due next week, so make sure to get started soon.”

Yoongi turned back to Hoseok with a triumphant smile and held up his hand for a high-five. Hoseok shyly met it, feeling warmth spread through him at the simple gesture. He was thrilled — more time with Yoongi was something he couldn’t help but look forward to, even if it made him nervous.

After class ended, they walked out together, Hoseok clutching his books close to his chest. The moment felt surreal, as if they were in their own little world.

“So, where do you think we should work on the project?” Hoseok asked, attempting to keep his tone casual.

Yoongi smirked, his answer almost too casual. “Your dorm room, of course. More privacy that way, don’t you think?”

Hoseok’s eyes widened, his mind racing. He’d thought they might work in the library, somewhere more public — but the idea of just the two of them, alone in his dorm room, sent a flutter through his heart. He nodded quickly, barely able to keep his excitement contained.

“Yeah, uh, that works,” he managed to reply, his voice a bit breathless.

“What’s your dorm room number?” Yoongi asked, giving him a warm, expectant look.

“Um, 304,” Hoseok answered, trying not to stumble over his words.

Yoongi nodded, a soft smile tugging at his lips. Then, to Hoseok’s surprise, Yoongi leaned forward and gave him a quick peck on the cheek. Hoseok’s face flamed as Yoongi straightened up, giving him a casual wave.

“See you later, then. Bye, Hoseok.”

Hoseok’s heart raced as he stood there, watching Yoongi walk away. He pressed his hand to his chest, feeling the wild beat beneath his palm. A soft squeal escaped him as he bit his lip, feeling his cheeks burn. He was falling for Yoongi — and it was the best feeling in the world.

Or so he thought.
