The corridor seemed to stretch endlessly as Hoseok walked, flanked by his friends, toward the principal’s office. His hands shook, his breaths were shallow, and his head hung low, as if he could will himself invisible. His eyes filled with tears at the myriad stares cast his way by students from different departments, filled with pity, disgust, and disdain. The whispers echoed in his ears like mocking laughter, each look cutting deeper than the last.

Suddenly, a bold voice called out, breaking through the murmurs, “Hey, Hoseok! How much do you charge for a night?” Hoseok stopped, his arms wrapping around himself protectively, his heart plummeting.

Without a moment’s hesitation, Taehyung stepped forward, his voice venomous. “Say another word, and I’ll make sure you wake up without a cock attached to you.” The boy’s face paled, and a few students nearby snickered, but another voice cut through.

“Why are you defending him, Taehyung? What, are you one of the gays too?” The student spat with a sneer.

Jin surged forward, fists clenched, but Hoseok held him back. “Jin, we don’t have time,” he whispered, his voice trembling. “We need to go.”

Jin glared at the boy, a fierce promise in his eyes, but he relented and followed Hoseok and the others down the corridor. When they reached the principal’s office, Hoseok hesitated, his hand trembling as he wiped at the tears that had begun to fall. Gathering what little resolve he had left, he knocked.

The door swung open immediately, and the vice principal stood there, her face stern. “Only Hoseok and Jungkook were called. The rest of you will have to wait outside until the principal is done.”

As Hoseok and Jungkook exchanged brief, reassuring looks with their friends, Hoseok forced a fragile smile, though it barely reached his eyes. Together, they entered the office, and the door closed with a resolute thud behind them.

Jungkook’s eyes widened at the sight that greeted them. His parents, Yoongi’s parents, and Yoongi himself, sat there, with Yoongi sporting a smug, triumphant look that made Jungkook’s fists clench in fury. Hoseok’s breath hitched as he met Yoongi’s gaze for a fleeting second before looking away, fists tightening beside him.

The principal cleared his throat, breaking the heavy silence. “Take a seat, both of you,” he said curtly.

Hoseok and Jungkook obeyed, and the principal wasted no time diving into the matter. “Yesterday, something scandalous happened at our school. Is that correct?” he asked, looking pointedly at both of them. They nodded silently. The principal turned to Jungkook. “Jungkook, care to explain why you attacked another student so viciously?”

Jungkook scoffed, turning to Yoongi with a contemptuous glare. “He deserved far worse after leaking a video that ruined someone’s life.”

Before anyone could respond, the principal raised a hand. “About that video.” He turned his gaze to Hoseok, whose eyes dropped to his lap, his lower lip trembling. The principal’s voice was laced with anger. “That video has caused extensive damage, not only to you but to the reputation of this institution. The name of this school has been tarnished due to a single student’s reckless actions.”

Hoseok bit his lip, the weight of shame pressing down on him as he tried to suppress his tears.

“Where is your father, Hoseok?” the principal asked sharply. “We’ve tried reaching him but received no response.” Hoseok’s worry grew, realizing he hadn’t heard from his father in days, and the silence felt suffocating.

Turning back to Jungkook, the principal continued, “For assaulting a fellow student, you’ll be assigned one week of community service.” Jungkook’s expression shifted to one of indignation.
