"You promised to keep that apartment under 24/7 surveillance," Jungwon remarked sternly, looking at Detective Ahn, who was working his way through the many things on his desk.

"We have," Detective Ahn calmly stated, "when she's in her apartment. That's what the budget is. We have her under surveillance."

"Then what if she had entered her apartment last night? What would've happened then?" Jungwon questioned sternly.

"Nothing... Officer Cho and his team found nothing in her apartment. The painting was just to scare her," Detective Ahn waved it off, "she can go home again if she'd like. I don't think you can keep her at your desk all day. She has classes tomorrow, you know?"

"That apartment is dangerous," Jungwon warned and tapped the desk sternly with his finger before turning on his heel and wandering out of the office and back out to his desk, where Jiyeon were mindlessly sitting and twirling in her chair.

"So?" she questioned and Jungwon let out a small sigh as he threw his file on the desk, "when can I go home?"

"Not any time soon," Jungwon quickly lied, "says it's too dangerous."

"Well... what do I then do?" Jiyeon questioned quietly and glanced out the window, "it's already going dark and I don't exactly have anyone's couch I can sleep on."

"You'll come back home with me and you can sleep in my bed. Apparently, Detective Ahn is useless for this," Jungwon sighed heavily and looked back up at Jiyeon, who just sat in silence and nodded, "is that alright?"

"Yeah... yeah... just fine," Jiyeon murmured and straightened her back quickly.

"I suggest you take the bed tonight. Your back is gonna hate you with time," Jungwon reminded with a small snicker.

"I can't just take your bed from you."

"Nonsense. I slept in it last night. You can sleep in it tonight. We can take shifts until the whole thing is sorted. I'll sleep late anyway, most likely... you shouldn't be bothered by me just because you insist on sleeping in the armchair," he grinned widely, "who knows... maybe I'll be fancy tonight and actually cook us a dinner?"

"I can cook for us. You don't look like someone with great gastronomical skills," Jiyeon remarked with a small snicker.

"Watch it, I know how to work a knife," Jungwon warned in amusement, getting a small laugh out of her, "I'll say... let me finish my coffee and we can go home."

Jiyeon nodded in silence and lifted her book from her lap to continue reading. As he sipped his coffee Jungwon kept on looking over the cover of her book. She was almost done. Not long until she would be able to write that project on the book.

"Wouldn't you need the author's permission to write that project?" Jungwon questioned and put down his empty mug.

"Well... I can't exactly do that, now can I?" Jiyeon chuckled in amusement and glanced up from her book at the frown growing on Jungwon's face, "she was murdered not long ago? Haven't you noticed? Park Eunyoung?"

Jungwon frowned before looking back down to the front cover of the book, noticing that Jiyeon was in fact right.

"You continue to be brilliant," Jungwon grinned widely.

"I just... it's simply stating the obvious isn't it?" Jiyeon frowned and Jungwon immediately marched over and cupped her face in both of her hands. Impressively enough, he didn't even take note of how warm her cheeks had turned all of a sudden as he bent down to look into her eyes.

"But that's what's so brilliant," Jungwon grinned widely, "I think too much. And you barely."

"I'm sorry?" Jiyeon questioned and abruptly pulled her head away from his grip.

"About the case!" Jungwon quickly stated, "I think so much about the case that I... I look over the things right in front of me. You! You're not thinking about it as much as I am. You see everything that's right there! Ugh! I could kiss you!"

Jiyeon raised both her eyebrows and watched as Jungwon started buttoning up his coat.

"Well... come on Miss Young, let's go," Jungwon grinned widely.

She stared at him for a few more seconds before packing her book back down into her bag and grabbing her coat from the backrest of her chair. She never failed to notice how Jungwon patiently waited for her. Continuing to have a small smile on his face as he watched her.

"You could or you would?" Jiyeon questioned and Jungwon blinked a few times.

"What?" he questioned as she threw her bag over her shoulder.

"Nothing..." she shook her head with a small smile, "so uhm... this is a bit weird to ask... but if my apartment is dangerous... I only have the clothes I'm wearing right now?"

"We can go pick something up from your apartment. I'll make sure it's safe," Jungwon quickly nodded and glanced her up and down, "seems fair... I could imagine it's uncomfortable to sleep in jeans."

"Why? Because you never wear them?" Jiyeon chuckled in amusement and glanced down to his black suit-like pants.

"I do. Just not at work," he warned and she hummed quietly, "so we'll go by your apartment first and you can pick up some things?"

"A book and groceries from my fridge as well," Jiyeon hummed with a small nod, "I doubt you have anything in your fridge."

"Bold of you to even assume it's turned on," Jungwon added on.

He glanced down at her in amusement once he held the door out to the front hall open. Letting her pass under his arm and wander over to bid Secretary Choi a good day and goodbye. Jungwon simply waved as he followed Jiyeon to the door, getting a knowing look from Secretary Choi. One of the few looks he had a hard time deducting completely.
