"Congratulations... mrs Choi, wonderful day to get married," Jungwon smiled politely as he shook Secretary Choi's hands. Her perplexed look made him let out a small chuckle.

"Detective Yang... I could've sworn I didn't see you at the ceremony... I'm sorry, but I don't recall inviting you," she excused gently. Jungwon shook his head and turned his head to look inside the venue for the reception and later the party, looking over all the guests who had already congratulated the happy couple.

"I was unable to attend the ceremony," Jungwon excused before smiling back at Secretary Choi, "and I'm here as a plus one."

"Plus one?" Secretary Choi frowned deeply, "Well, I need to warn you then. Miss Young is invited and-"

"I know," Jungwon assured gently, "I contacted Detective Ahn to let me borrow the apartment again. If I am not wrong she is standing somewhere getting more and more frustrated by my absence. I promised to come as quickly as possible. Can't wait to see what's on the menu."

Secretary Choi looked after Jungwon in astonishment. He simply wandered into the venue and set his route straight towards Jiyeon, who had been tapping her nails against her champagne glass since her arrival. When a small smile had spread on Jiyeon's face Secretary Choi was quick to add two and two together.

"Missed me?" Jungwon casually excused as he joined Jiyeon and grabbed a glass of champagne from a passing serve. One hand in his pant pocket.

"I'll have you know it was actually a really nice ceremony," Jiyeon excused and Jungwon only hummed, glancing around while sipping from his champagne.

"Don't doubt it. You're drinking alcohol tonight?"

"It's alcohol-free," Jiyeon shrugged and immediately Jungwon's face scrunched up.

"Ugh, I taste that," he remarked and placed his glass down on a nearby table and shoved both hands into his pockets, "I got what you needed."

"Good, because I need you to focus on something else," Jiyeon hummed and looked off in the opposite direction of where Jungwon stood.

"You?"

The remark went unnoticed by Jiyeon as she quickly turned to face Jungwon completely. A small frown appeared on his face once he noticed the sternness on her face.

"What?" he murmured.

"Do you see the man behind me?" she whispered and glanced over her shoulder discreetly, "he keeps glancing at us. Blue pants, light pink shirt? A terrible mix, should actually not be allowed to show up with such a bad colour combination," Jiyeon remarked and waved it off before looking back up at Jungwon.

She let him glance around for a bit, frown slowly melting away before he nodded and quickly redirected his eyes out to the happy couple still greeting the last few guests outside in the sunny weather.

"There were three men in the car," Jiyeon muttered and Jungwon looked down at her, "The mayor, the... uhm... god..." she sighed and rubbed her forehead.

"Perpetrator," Jungwon nodded quietly.

"Him," Jiyeon nodded and pointed up at Jungwon, "and that man."

"Are you sure?" Jungwon questioned with a frown and glanced up at the man Jiyeon was talking about. He seemed quite peaceful as he stood there and talked among some equally as old men.

"Absolutely," Jiyeon nodded, "I asked Secretary Choi, and she said it's one of her husband's invites."

"Lovely woman," Jungwon remarked before looking down at Jiyeon, "are you completely sure he was in the car?"
