It was far past dinner time by the time Jungwon returned to the apartment in the early mornings. His hair was slightly ruffled from frustration, yet he still came in with a slightly warm breakfast box in hand.

"Where have you been?" Mrs Mae rushed out of the kitchen with a bewildered look on her face.

"At work," Jungwon replied with confusion as he closed the door behind him, "do you need anything Mrs Mae?"

"I've been worried sick," she scolded lightly, "then Miss Young comes home and complains of a terrible headache. She couldn't even open her eyes! Then she says you're off somewhere meeting some people you didn't want her to see? Do you have any idea how worried I've been?"

"With all due respect Mrs Mae, you're not my mum," Jungwon reminded with a small smile and wandered into the kitchen and put down the food he had brought with him.

"I'm as good as Yang Jungwon!" she sternly stated and Jungwon abruptly looked up at her, "You've been living here for the past four years. You're as good as my son now! And that poor girl-"

"Is she still sleeping?" Jungwon gently questioned and Mrs Mae sighed before simply pressing her lips together, "is she sleeping?"

"Woke up an hour ago, and she's just been sitting there in silence," Mrs Mae sighed and Jungwon nodded before leaving his things and pulling off his coat and wandering down the hallway.

Carefully he knocked on the door to Jiyeon's room before gently pushing it open. Just as Mrs Mae had pointed out she simply just sat there. Still dressed in the same clothes as she had been wearing to the prison. Staring straight at the wall beside her door.

"Jiyeon?" Jungwon questioned getting a small hum, "are you alright? Mrs Mae said you had a bad headache after getting home from the prison."

"How'd she know who I was?" Jiyeon whispered and eventually looked over at Jungwon, "she knew who I was. Lin knew. She referred to me as if you already knew what she was talking about... and then..." Jiyeon sighed before rubbing her forehead for a few second before sighing and eventually looking over at Jungwon, "it was like I already knew you, had known you for a long time."

"I have breakfast with me home instead of dinner. I think you should come out and eat with Mrs Mae and I," Jungwon excused with a small smile and Jiyeon nodded in silence, "and then I think I'll let you pack out completely. Three days in the same apartment and you've barely even made your bed yet. I'm not bringing you along for the rest of the week. Alright?"

"But I want to se-" Jiyeon started and Jungwon shook his head with a small smile.

"You're not even getting paid for everything I'm dragging you to. You only get paid for the one hour you were by the Han River," he excused gently, "I'll ask Mrs Mae if she'll help you with unpacking. Alright?"

"Okay," Jiyeon nodded and glanced around herself.

"Get into some other clothes and then I'll set up for breakfast," Jungwon excused and closed the door.

He let out a heavy sigh and walked down the hallway again, getting greeted by a worried and confused Mrs Mae. As she kept staring at him he simply started to get out plates, mugs and the like to divide the food into three for the breakfast.

"Would you really like to know?" Jungwon questioned and Mrs Mae eventually nodded after he had been able to feel her stare for a good while, "I know her from the case I did last year down south."

"Oh," Mrs Mae realised with big eyes.

"Thing is... she was the victim they saved," Jungwon continued and Mrs Mae's face immediately got a sympathetic look, "lack of oxygen to the brain has made her memories from the period foggy and seemingly she can't remember my face from then, nor her typewriter, but that's a minor thing."

"She doesn't remember?" Mrs Mae whispered.

"She remembers three detectives as far as I know, just not their faces, names or anything about them," Jungwon excused, "yesterday she casually remembered something about me from that time. I think that's what gave her that headache. It's overworking her brain if anything to try and remember things that's been gone for so long."

"You really think that's why?" Mrs Mae questioned.

"I'm not a medical professional, you know that," Jungwon snickered up at her, "but it's my best guess. Either that or the fact I've been dragging her to all these things. I'll be more careful with her, I promise."

"I like her," Mrs Mae murmured to herself, "she was so happy and insisted on helping me with everything even though she could barely open her eyes."

"Ah..." Jungwon chuckled slightly, "give it some time and she'll start putting me in my place as well. You'll enjoy that even more."

"I will," Mrs Mae confirmed and Jungwon let out a small laugh at her, slowly shutting up once Jiyeon joined them in the kitchen. Almost looking like a bad flu had brutally attacked her since yesterday.
