It hadn't exactly been long after Jiyeon had left for the toilet that the dessert was served. Jungwon glanced around in confusion, looking at the things on the plate in front of him and in front of the empty chair beside him it wasn't exactly something she'd want to miss.

She didn't give him long to worry before his phone had started ringing in his pocket. One of the few rare times they called each other.

"Did you fall down the stairs or something on your way? The desert is here," Jungwon whispered carefully and turned his back towards Detective Ahn, "it's blueberry  ice cream on-"

"Get out here," Jiyeon calmly spoke from the other end of the phone.

"Here? Where's here? The ladies' room?" Jungwon frowned and straightened up more, "are you alright, Ji?"

"I'm fine," she sighed heavily, "second-floor hallway, first turn to the left. Look around, who else is missing?"

"What are yo-"

Jungwon pursed his lips and sighed heavily when she abruptly ended the phone call. He took a second to glance around the room, noticing Jiyeon's empty chair as the first. She was the one missing, but who else?

Then it dawned upon him. The man in the blue pants and pink shirt was missing. If someone had timed him then Jungwon could've possibly set a new record in how fast he got out of his chair and onto his feet.

"What in the worl-"

"She's doing something stupid," Jungwon declared quickly before rushing off.

He tried to make it seem as normal and nonchalant as he rushed out of the room and towards the staircase that'd lead him up the second floor. At every step, he made up a new scenario of what stupid situation Jiyeon had gotten herself into.

On the second floor, he glanced around before locating the first turn to the left. With a huff, he almost ran down towards that turn.

"Jiyeon, what have possessed you to think whatever this is, is a good-" Jungwon stopped abruptly when he turned the corner and saw Jiyeon having the man pressed up against the wall. His arm twisted onto his back. In her other hand, she held a tiny cloth.

"Oh shut up and prove me correct," she complained and waved around the tiny cloth.

"What have you done?" Jungwon slowly questioned and grabbed the cloth.

"What? You didn't pay attention," Jiyeon excused with a shrug, "Secretary Choi's niece went to the restroom and you'll never guess who followed right after. Eyed her all evening," Jiyeon excused and turned to look at Jungwon, "what'd he put on the cloth?"

Jungwon kept on staring at her before eventually sniffing the cloth. Getting a faint hint of an ether-like scent, sweet and pungent. A small frown appeared on his face before he took a careful sweep of the cloth with a finger before licking it off. It was sweet, not good sweet like cakes and sweets, but sweet like a medicine would be.

"This is chloroform," Jungwon murmured in realisation, slowly snickering before gesturing for Jiyeon to just let him go. Casually he wandered over to the man and held up the cloth as the man was too focused on rubbing his shoulder and glaring at Jiyeon, "you thought you could knock the niece out with this?"

Jungwon chuckled condescendingly as the man turned his glare to him. Quirking his eyebrow and not getting an answer Jungwon decided to continue.

"There's a max of maybe... four or five drops of chloroform on this. Even if you had emptied a whole bottle you would have to keep an angry teenager still for a good twenty minutes and make sure her every inhale was through this cloth," Jungwon continued, "are you that dense?
