As a way to make up for the lack of fullness after the dinner the night before Jiyeon had gotten up fairly early to go buy some eggs and sausages along with toast. Deciding they probably needed a fairly big breakfast considering how both of them had struggled and laughed through the dinner last night.

It was only when the sausages had been placed under a paper towel on a small plate, and the eggs had been placed on the table in their pan that Jiyeon went to get Jungwon. She had let the toast start heating up before going down to the bedroom. Carefully she knocked on the door and leaned against the doorframe as she looked over at the dishevelled detective, who looked just about as messy as his life probably was.

"Breakfast," Jiyeon called out and Jungwon hummed quietly, "I made breakfast. Big one. Get up before it gets cold."

"You made breakfast?" Jungwon frowned and lifted his head, squinting at Jiyeon.

"Mhm," Jiyeon hummed with a small smile.

"I don't have anything to make breakfast with," Jungwon pointed out.

"I went down and bought a bit..." Jiyeon shrugged quietly, "you want coffee, right?"

"You went out, bought things to make breakfast and have already made it?" Jungwon questioned and sat up, throwing the duvet off of him.

"You don't eat breakfast?"

"I do... but usually on the way to the station," Jungwon nodded and ruffled a hand through his hair.

"Oh... well... I was hungry..." she admitted slowly and Jungwon shook his head and waved his hand about, "I can just eat and pack down the rest. I'll take the rest of my apartment when I go home... or you can use it for dinner tonight.

"It's fine," Jungwon waved it off, "I'll eat. I'm just... it's nice not having to eat it on the way. Coffee is nice."

"I'll go make you a cup. Do you have coffee in the apartment?" Jiyeon questioned and Jungwon nodded and pushed himself up from the bed, "so I don't have to go out and buy anything?"

"There should be a bag in one of the cupboards," Jungwon nodded, "with the hours we usually work... you need coffee."

"You slept well tonight, didn't you?" she snickered and Jungwon only nodded before looking over at her, casually wandering over and joining her in the doorway, "you're not getting through."

"Why not?" Jungwon chuckled.

"Because you haven't told me why you slept so well," Jiyeon shrugged casually and looked up in amusement.

"Oh, I don't know..."

"Deduct your way."

"Maybe... hm... I don't know. The bed was just warmer," Jungwon shrugged before gently pushing his way out into the hallway, "I'm gonna make the coffee myself. I need it extra strong."

"Whatever you say, mister detective," Jiyeon murmured and followed after him back to the tiny dining table, where she put the breakfast, "toast?"

"Oooh, you brought toast?" Jungwon questioned and glanced over to where Jiyeon started gathering the toasted pieces of bread on a small plate.

"Ye- fuck! I forgot to buy butter!" Jiyeon realised before sighing heavily, "Well... I hope you like dry bread."

Jungwon snickered in amusement and let his eyes follow her as she wandered over and slumped down into a chair and started sipping from a mug.

"You drink coffee?" Jungwon questioned.

"Tea."

"I don't have tea," Jungwon frowned in realisation and let the electric kettle start boiling.
